Band-Maid play with joy and fill me with joy to watch them play. Superb music, superb musicianship, just superb. My favourite band of the past two decades. Close to my favourite band of all time. Great reaction. Peace and health!

This song was my introduction to Band Maid. I forgot to turn off autoplay one day and wasn't paying attention, when suddenly this song came out of my speakers. I had seen Band Maid in my recommendations but all I saw was the Maid Outfits and figured it was one of those manufactured bands like many boy bands of the 80's and 90's. Boy was I surprised. I followed up Freedom with Onset, and I have been hooked ever since. I have listened to almost their entire discography and I am searching out the very rare early tracks that were never put on an album. According to 2 different sources, before Saiki joined, the other ladies did do 3 performances with songs that I haven't been able to identify. Of course it was fated, since Miku felt her voice wasn't strong enough/powerful enough to really perform the style of songs she wanted. So they searched out for another singer. And they found Saiki. And HISTORY was made.

Now you understand why Jimmy Page after watching Akane's drumming said that she was one of the best drummers that he's ever heard and that she reminded him of John Bonham. Saiki reminds me of Alanis Morissette in her ability to change her vocal styles. As always Band-Maid is Jimmy Page approved!

Not strange at all. I discovered Band Maid in 2019 and just in time to get tickets to their concert in NYC that year. They have become my favorite band. Going to see them this year in NYC and NJ. Can't wait.

I think it's fantastic - and not at all strange - that you watched one Band-Maid song and then went and bought tickets for one of their gigs. It's the sign of someone with great taste and judgement or, as we call ourselves too, a Maidiac! Wisest investment ever! PS The "perswon on rhythm guitar is Miku Kobato, the 'Little Pigeon', and she is - apart from being ridiculously beautiful - the founder of the band. She used to work in a maid cafe, which is where the maid imagery originated.

Second vocals / second guitar Miku founded the group, and originally planned to be the lead singer, as she didn't play an instrument. Once they started rehearsing together, it was decided that they needed a lead singer with a more "rock 'n roll" voice and Saiki was recruited. The only change in the lineup in the band's 9 year existence was the addition of Saiki.

You got that right, their energy is just crazy good. Saiki's lead and Miku's backing vocals are a perfect match. They did an acoustic online show Christmas 2021. The acoustic setting was made for those two. Kicking down the instrumentation a notch or two and rearranging the songs for an acoustic set, truly let the vocalist's shine bright... it was just amazing.

Thanks again from Japan 有難う💛。 Oh! you got a ticket to a concert in San Diego. Lucky you! I also managed to get tickets for me and my wife to a pre-USA concert on Sep.7 in Tokyo. (Lucky me!) That will be my first experience to see B-M live 😄 , while I have been to BABYMETAL concerts 10 times. Fanbases of B-M and BM are partially overlapping. I know a guy in San Diego who loves both bands is going to the same show you will see and another concert in LA on Oct.15, Misa's birthday.

First of all, a slightly belated 'welcome to the pigeon-hole'. 🙈🙋🏻‍♂️ Who would have thought that 5 young women in maid costumes could breathe new life into a whole genre, huh? If someone had told me that 3 years ago, I would have labelled that person completely crazy. Well, then towards the end of 2019 I stumbled across an MV called 'Thrill' and my music world was completely turned upside down in 4 minutes. The journey these ladies sent me on, or took me on, is one I will never forget for the rest of my life and hopefully will continue for decades to come. The talent of these ladies is outstanding, they are creative, they don't really let boundaries stop them and the fact that they are quite attractive certainly helps too. I recommend as the next stop on this journey the mentioned MV to 'Thrill' to see where the ladies started to conquer the world 9 years ago, and after that the live performance of 'Real Existence'.
