I love the demonstrable improvement of Miku's guitar skills and how the band is acknowledging it now. She totally holds her own against the Barefoot Assasin, no easy feat. And Saiki's energy in this number is through the roof. Check out her epic "face playing" with Akane to the point Saiki is laughting during her vocals. Damn, seeing this band live is on my bucket list

I saw them live, it was truly an unforgettable experience. I was in a small theater, the volume was too loud for the size of the hall. but the sounds were perfectly tuned with bass and drum emphasis, I could hear every note and nuance. I was compressed up front against the stage between Saiki and Kanami. a real storm of very powerful great music. I am a musician and my brother is a recognized drum teacher at the Milan Conservatory. My brother pointed out to me something that few people realize. In some songs like Spirit and particularly Alive or Dead, Akane does things my brother thinks are impossible, my brother argues that Akane probably doesn't even realize it. My brother noticed that in some quick double kick passes Akane breaks the double kick and creates like micro pauses. My brother as a drum teacher tells me that they are something at the limits of human possibilities and made so simple and instinctively he has never heard them before, he does not explain how Akane can move her feet in that crazy way while perfectly controlling the rhythmic fractions. To listen it is as if in some moment the kick is missing and you are expecting only a note of silence, then instead Akane comes back splitting to the fourth fastest all this while playing a fast double kick, this is extraordinary, but you have to concentrate to hear it. My brother says Akane is young and will likely become a world-class drummer. I think she is now. when you can run to see them, you will find the same emotions of the old super bands of the 80s and 70s.

Greeting from Japan. Okay. I"ve already seen their lives 10 times or more. So, let you know how is the live...actually they called "Okyuji" and how is Misa bassing or slapping... This SHIBUYA LINE CUBE Okyuji was the tour final and one of the craziest in their carrier. I always stand in front of Misa and Miku in between. As you can see Misa, normally she plays left side but only few songs she move toward right side. Just like this video, her bass sound can be easily recognized because such an unique tone. I think it is also because on their composing way they mutually fill in the sound gap among each part. So, when Akane (Dr), Kanami(Lead Gt) or Miku(Rhythm Gt/Vo) Saiki(Vo) have no sound, that's Misa moment or she fills in the gap with such an incredible tone. When she plays at Okyuji, she is barefooted and her stage drink is "Jim Beam" or "Beer". That is also her character... There are more good live video you should watch and react. Please react "Don't you tell me(live)", "Take me higher(live)" if you haven't.

@@sukenao Band-Maid loves LA. We blew their minds when the small sold out crowd sang right along with Saiki. I think this why LA go 2 shows last year. At least I would like to think so ;) My brother & I were thinking of going to the Sun show at Inkcarceration just to watch Band-Maid but Covid ruined that. I truly believe that if Band-Maid would have played in that festival they would have blown up here in the US.

Saw BAND-MAID twice last September in NYC, Babymetal in St Paul, MN in September & again in October @ The Forum in LA, & Jinjer in October here in Wisconsin. It was my six week KZbin music tour. Every one of the five shows were fantastic, but BAND-MAID has my soul.

Saw them live in L.A. last year. Small venue, up close. They burned the house down. Its funny, in person you realize how tiny they are, and then they put out this huge wall of sound, it's crazy. IMHO... Misa and Akane (Bass and Drums) are the best "rhythym duo" in the business, there is nothing coming EVEN CLOSE against these two ladies... They know each other for a very long time, they were best friends even before Band-Maid existed. They are playing together for such a long time, you can hear it and they are so over the top talented that it´s just another level in comparsion to other bands. I don´t wanna say Kanami, Saiki or Miku are bad, they are also DAMN good, especially Kanami and Miku, because they are writing most of the songs, but for me... Akane and Misa are outstanding and it´s a once in a lifetime combo... I´ve never heard something like that in my life, it´s just perfect...

There are for sure bands that are even, but their time is over, not in a negative way, they had a great career and music 🌟 I am not that old, but i also heared "The Doors" f.e. etc., so i know a lot of bands from this time, but i won´t change my mind there, like i said (in my lifetime) there is no better duo...

Soon, very soon Miku is going to shred... I mean, her teacher is Kanami... It's one of the great things about Band-Maid, there is space for everyone to shine... and that's because you can really listen to every instrument and of course MISA is one highlight out of 5 highlights... I melt for Kanami, but MISA is the coolest for sure... that hair, that bass, the way she slaps it and takes power out of it, the way she stands, the rock'n'roll flow of her body language, the focus, everything just oozes coolness... and then she smiles like a little kid... aaaaah these girls are the best. Nothing to say about "Play"... it's probably one of their most celebrated songs... It's really cool to be watching this with MISA playing like she does and have "The Lemmy" back there watching... when I think about power-bass I always think of Lemmy - and that's the only connection I can find, although the first time I listened to "Moratoriamu" it did remind me of some Motorhead intros... Anyway, great reaction, I have a feeling you will love "Real Existance"... live or not, there is a official video of it...

I saw 4 Okyuji and Alex, and as you probably already know, it was worth every penny. It might not have been the best performances of my life, but it was definitely among the top 5. It's so cool to see women rock with that enthusiasm and those skills. 3 times I stood at the side of Kanami and once at the side of MISA, but my favorite is Akane. This woman is just a fantastic drummer and she is always completely calm and happy. I am fascinated by her playing. The best female hard rock band of our time. When they come back on tour, I will see them again. May come hell or high water. This song really has some good instrumental parts, I love it. I'm not sure if anyone mentioned it yet, but this song was originally written to be an instrumental song without vocals. I've heard mixed reasons for why they added lyrics, but it's either the agency told them they needed lyrics or the band just liked the song and wanted to add lyrics. Either way, this is a perfect example of what happens when you add lyrics to an instrumental song.
