Someone said before me more or less Band-Maid is like a tricky baseball pitcher, because you never know what ball gonna throw to you next. And Akane, the drummer, sometimes wears baseball uniform in live MC's. Not in all songs of BM Kanami do solos or is very short. In some songs the bass of Misa is very powerful, like in Freezer, that have not MV. In this song Saiki shine with her vocals, but the song that make her fully force is Secret MY Lips, at least live.

After seeing this one live, it became one of my very favorite BAND-MAID songs. Those Miku harmonies kill me. And of course everything else is spot on. Akane Hirose (the drummer), is the "band leader", in charge of organizing practice sessions, etc. It doesn't mean she is the boss of everyone. : ) They seem to do a great job of dividing up responsibilities, which is one of the things I like about the group.

I think they said in an interview that Akane (drummer) was appointed the title of 'leader' because she was the most organized.. not sure what it all entails, but it's stuff like keeping everyone on track for rehearsals. i'd imagine her time at the Tokyo School of Music would help in keeping things structured Miku (backup vocals, 2nd guitar) is like the 'face' of the band.. she does a lot of PR type stuff, at times by herself, appearing on TV shows etc.. and yeah, usually the one that speaks the most in group interviews. also the least experienced, as far as formal music training goes. from the sounds of things.. SAgillzQS MISA was never under a gag order. She’s just extremely shy. She’s working on it though and she’s getting better. Nowadays Saiki is somewhat in charge but everyone is heavily involved. They’re all good friends. In one interview one of the girls said “they get along so well and spend so much off time together that it’s almost gross.” And they all laughed.

Miku was in an idol group for three years and then toward the end and after was working at a maid cafe for three years (yeah, unknown idols don't make a whole lot of money so she was working part time at a cafe). So she talks the most in front of people or on interviews because she is very comfortable in front of cameras. And she is most experienced in interview situations. And also she concocted the idea a band wearing maid custom while playing rock music. However, Akane (the drummer) is the leader because the members felt she is the most level headed. Go figure. I guess they all said no Miku for leader because she is a crazy pigeon lady. Haha.

Akane is the leader because she likes to kick ass! "Hey, time to practice! Get your butts over here!" hahaha...And seems technically appropriate for the drummer to be the band leader, since every other part is supposed to fall in line ever so slightly behind the beat. The drummer is musically the band leader, so, why not in general?

In this same performance, "Moratorium" is another great song that leads right into this song. Kanami's guitar work is amazing with that sliding "Spirit of Radio" riff, along with great solos. While Misa on bass and Akane on drums are amazing already, Kanami keeps getting better. Aside from Orianthi, (the late) Michael Jackson's tour lead guitarist, Kanami is the best working lady guitarist I've ever seen. Saiki is a very gifted vocalist, with her melodic, yet powerful voice carries over a very loud powerful hard rock sound. Miku's voice harmonizes so well with Saiki's vocals.

"Don't You Tell Me" has a live and a MV. Both are awesome in different ways. The live has the guitar/bass battle, but the MV has all the inside jokes. Do both maybe... with live first?? :-)

Always think this is the Kanami and Saiki song. Kanami is playing all the way through and Saiki hardly gets a break from her vocals. Miku, has some high harmonising vocals which she executes well. Miku, is the leader of Band Maid as such unless you mean Akane, the drummer leads the rhythm?

@@Glynthepin Akane doesn't really talk much, but she makes sure the members are punctual (meetings, practice and whatnot) and like you said she leads the rhythm. Since they're naturally following her lead on these things, it's only natural that she's leading the group.
