Band-Maid and The Warning were fans of each other. Then they met in person in 2022 and became friends. The Warning performed in Japan and documented their time with Band-Maid. All eight of them in the same room working on the song. Their respect and affection for each other very evident. They first performed this live in Japan. You are right about Dany and Kaname’s guitars being the same type. The two bassists got very close. B-M’s bassist Misa ended the song with a tribute to the outro that TW’s bassist Ale did on TW’s song Survive. The Warning has now invited Band-Maid to perform with them in Mexico and will teach them to sing in Spanish. There is a Vlog by The Warning showing their time with Band-Maid. My cheeks hurt from smiling just watching them all together.

You have great insight to Band-Maid and their music after only hearing 3 songs! If your thing is bass and drums, you just hit the mother OG load with Band-Maid. Not only that, they have a secret weapon named Kanami on lead guitar who also writes the music. The beating heart of the band goes by the name of Miku who plays rhythm guitar and writes most of the lyrics. IMO, the next logical song choice for your next reaction should be “Without Holding Back”. After you hear that, you will want to hear more and more. I don’t go 1 day without hearing a Band-Maid song. Once you’ve fallen into the “Pigeon Hole”, you’ll never want to leave. Subscribed because of your Band-Maid reactions!

MommaOG, I'm glad that you got to react to "Show Them". To me this collab yells "GIRL POWER!" I love it! Collabs are notoriously hard as hell to do well, but because of the respect the bands have for each other, they pulled this off. Kudos to the production team for putting this song and the video together so well. I believe that Band-Maid and The Warning may be the new "Power Couple" in rock. Dany, the guitarist for The Warning, has hinted that the two groups are planning another collab together in the future.

So TW and B-M met at a US festival in 2022 and said they should collaborate. They got that opportunity this year. TW went to Japan and played three shows, one with Band-Maid. TW traveled to Japan two weeks early to write/compose/record with B-M and record a MV. They then played it together at their one concert together. In an interview on the PRS channel, Kanami and Dany said that more collaborations are in the future. Kanami wants B-M to go to Mexico and and Dany wants the collab to be in Spanish. Dany and Kanami play similar PRS guitars in the same color. There is now a behind the scenes video of the two bands together on TW's YT channel.

Another great reaction !! Once again, you almost got caught. Do you think you would have spit out what you were attempting to drink if you were in the process when Dany let it all hang out ? LOL When you speak about their cohesiveness and ease in harmonizing, I think back to when I first listened to Saiki at the beginning and when comparing her then and now, the leaps she has taken are monumental, to the point that she is the equal of, or better than, most of the rock frontwomen I've listened to over the decades. She also makes me think of the lead singer of the progenitor of the female rock band, Fanny. I might be wrong, but it's either Jean or June Millington. I will have to reserve judgement on Dany until I listen to more of The Warning. The groups melded so well together and the handoffs were just perfection, showing the contrasts between the styles of each band. I've been hearing about them doing a collaboration in Mexico, with maybe Saiki learning some Spanish lyrics. That would be the epitome of coolness. And the reason Miku is always smiling is that she knows the she's Band Maid's mom, lol.

Momma OG, If you love bass and drums, I suggest you react to "Manners/Black Hole". It's a two-fer video by Band-Maid that shows the band's musical diversity. MISA, Band-Maid's bassist, has several times that "Manners" is one of her favorite songs to perform. It is a pure funk groove that I'm sure you will love.

Miku is a very positive person. In her outlook, and in her lyrics. (Also, MISA MISA MISA!) The Warning just released on their KZbin channel a behind-the-scenes vlog of their time in Japan with Band-Maid. I think both bass players have similar personalities. Misa reportedly posted on her IG account that they were both shy, but apparently became close during their time together in Tokyo in spite of the language barrier, and she cried when Ale left.

Lady with purple hair is Band-Maid’s current main lyricist. She is also the band’s founder. During the genesis of the band she didn’t even play guitar, so learning to play and sing has been something she’s been doing only for 11 years.

But let me ask you this: other than bringing on good feelings and 3 - 4 minutes of inspiration, does music provide (or instill) any actionable direction. I wonder how much the message in lyrics brings about real change in people. I know in the 60s & 70s it did. But today's music, I don't know? Does Taylor Swift's lyrics really cause people to make different decisions about their relationships, etc.? I know as a personality, if she asked people to vote a certain way, for example, many would. But that's mainly because of her strong charismatic celebrity grip more than anything else, isn't it? 🤔

They both use PRS (Paul Reed Smith) Guitars. Kanami just got a Private Stock Custom with stylized Birds on the fret board. Miku plays her Zemaitis Signature "Flappy Pigeon" which has a pigeon in the engravings on the face plate which she helped design.

Thanks again from Japan 有難う 💛。 I witnessed the live debut of this song 😍 that was played together (once and only to date) as the encore & finale of the special concert by Band-Maid & The Warning on June 12 in Tokyo . My seat was located on the 2nd floor but in the center meaning in front of the two drummers. I was in bliss! It looked to me that Paulina and Akane literally and happily competed like a duel to see which drummer can kick harder enough to break their bass drum in the joint performance. 🤣 (FYI : In the special concert, The Warning, who opened as the special guest, performed so powerful that the Maids were fired up to start their turn with fullest energy as the hostess band. It was fun like a kind of martial arts between two fighters respecting each other. 😄) Note : Please check a video recently released in The Warning official channel that captures beautiful friendship with Band-Maid. It was filmed in Japan.

I dig both of these bands, I also dont compare them as they play different. Band maid plays amazing fast and flashy music and i love it. However I am forever a The Warning fan, Dany doesnt often put guitar solos in but thats doesn’t mean that she is not capable of shredding, Pau is gonna blow your mind when you hear her sing lead vocals while playing drums and that leaves the youngest sister Ale, she is the quiet, shy sister. no, she doesn’t play the slap bass like Misa of Band Maid but she plays really groovy stuff. I’m sure you’ve got plenty of information from the other warning fans, but I just had to put in my two cents. Great reaction I will be waiting for the next one.

#Monma If you decide to watch the documentary of the Warning in Japan. You will see the Band Maid ladies give hugh to the The warning. It's mine a lot, because in Japanese people don't give hugh to people outside of the family, for them hugh are only for private circle . Japonese don't give hugh in public. The Warning ladies had a very precious relations with the band Maid. This collaboration was a thing from al of eight , not from producer or a record compagny. That's why it work so well. 🇲🇽🇯🇵💪

If you want to appreciate the music and performance skills of a song in another language, may I suggest you watch The Warning perform Narcisista from the Teatro Metropolitan concert in 2022? Pau comes out from behind the kit, lets her drum teacher/coach take over and she takes the mic as the lead singer and absolutely dominates the stage. It's their first-ever song in Spanish as a big middle finger to fans who were not happy that they were singing only in English. It's breathtaking to watch.

First off, I’m loving your reactions. You’re understated, yet intense. I feel your shock and awe when watching The Warning. I can relate. Also you’re giving Tina Fey vibes, which I dig. I think you’re sleeping on some of their official videos. The live performances are seductive. The Pepsi center vids are spectacular, but I hope you check out their earlier live videos, like Lunario,for the Queen of the Murder Scene tour, in a more intimate setting. It’s a dark, punk rock vibe and I think you would be blown away. I’m sure you have other requests for those shows. But getting back to my original point, please check out the official vid for this song. It’s shot on iPhones and a couple drones. The energy is off the charts. Pau is basically committing assault and battery on her drum kit. The well is super deep. I’m looking forward to your journey.

THank you so much... I've heard the Tina Fey thing a few times now and I would have never imagined I look like her. Definitely a compliment. I do love her as an actress. Perhaps it's the glasses? lol Don't worry, I don't have any intentions of missing ANYTHING by these two bands. Even if that means doing multiple versions in the same video or releasing them separately. For a complete picture, I need to hear all the versions of the songs they have. This will help me learn a lot about them in the process too. I just did a double feature of Automatic Sun and have a couple more double feature vids coming out soon. @@TheRealMommaOG I’m really just familiar with The Warning. I do love this colab though. The Warning does give off old school rock vibes, with a modern touch. You might want to look into Royal Blood, who they toured with. They are just two UK guys who are amazing. The warning sound is a bit more heavy on their new release. The influence of Royal Blood and also Muse, plays a big part of their sound now. I will say I like their older releases a bit more, but I still love what they’re doing and look forward to what comes next.

The Warning just recently started posting videos from their 2023 10th anniversary concert at the Pepsi Center in Mexico City. These performances are amazing, the energy of the crowd, the energy of the band. The lighting, the sound quality. All top tier.
