Nice to see my old Regiment doing its duties so well. And the Band never fails to make me proud.

Thanks Derek Parry - I'm glad the video gave you an opportunity to see your old Regiment and Band, keeping up good standards.

Mike, thanks for another great video. Here in coastal Maine, USA which borders New Brunswick, Canada our little towns have an annual International Festival. Sadly this year our parade may be rained out due to the tail end of hurricane Debbie. Not that our little high school marching bands are on par with the Welsh Guards, but the kids really try hard. The people of Windsor are really fortunate to have these parades regularly. And those of who don't, appreciate your efforts to bring them to us. Thanks Again.

Almost forgot, Great Little Army is one of my all time favorite marches. I also really like the Royal British Legion march.

Hello again Brian, and thanks for the comment. I really hope that your Festival and parade will be able to go ahead, and that the hurricane and associated rain don't do too much damage in your area. It's a great shame when musical events have to be called off, especially when youngsters put in so much effort into preparing for them.

Good afternoon! Another brilliant video, we never get tired to watch. Thank you very much Mike, for filming and posting for us that haven't the lucky to live there. So amazing the Changing Guards and their pleasurable marches❤

To begin with three German classics in a row " Steadfast and True", With Sword and Lance" and "Wellington", followed by two Kenneth Alford greats "Eagle Squadron" and then "The Great Little Army" fantastic,

Looks as though the man from "elf & Safety" has paid a visit to the Guards Regiments. They flip their rifles from one shoulder to the other at regular intervals when marching.

Yes, regularly and frequently. I haven't been doing this long enough to know when the current practice came in, or what they used to do.

Thanks for filming, Mike. What is the building directly across from the barracks that has that long ramp?
@MikeM14-404 ай бұрын
Hello Charlotte, and thanks. I'm not exactly sure what the building is, but I think it's a block of offices with maybe a factory or two amongst them. At the front there are one or two front doors, with a flat forecourt which is raised above street level, probably to keep it safe from being flooded, and the ramps are for wheelchair users and maybe also bicycles to get up and down. If some of the units are workshops, the ramps could also be for wheeling heavy items in and out using trolleys or barrows. It looks as if in the past some local council services were housed there as well, in which case it would be important for local residents to be able to access the offices easily. Of course, some of the walls are stood on by people filming the guard-change parades so they can get a better view!

@@MikeM14-40 I definitely see one of your fellow KZbinrs post up there frequently. I was curious as to whether it was a type of nursing home, assisted living center and a council service place sounds reasonable too
