50年近く洋楽、邦楽問わず聴いてきて大抵の音楽は何処かで聴いたことがあるなって感じの曲や編曲ばかりで少し音楽に飽きてきた所にBAND MAIDに出会って音楽熱が再燃。 変態的(もちろん褒め言葉)なバッキング、コーラス、アレンジ皆さんが天才ではないかと。よくこんなメンバーが集まっ たものだと感心すると共に、個人的には地元近くそして九州の誇りでもある小鳩ミクさんには感謝しかありません。 よく「日本でもっと認知されて欲しい」みたいなツイートを見かけますが、個人的には日本だけでアリーナクラスのツアーをやれるミュージシャンより世界中の人達に名前を知られてる彼女達の方がより素晴らしい人生を送っておられると思ってます。これからも世界征服目指して頑張って下さい！

@宮本智章 ツイッターを読むと以前よりも格段にパワーアップしているようなので、相当なものだったと思います。 大音響で低音が凄いので、ライブの方が録音よりもずっと良く聞こえる事が多いのはお判りになったと思います。 それと耳栓は必須です。音の良いホールでは地震波に襲われている錯覚する覚える程の壮絶な音を二人の重力音波製造者が出しますから・・・ 私はそれが大好きです。

I saw Band-Maid playing "Unleash!!!!!" at Tokyo Garden Theater on January 9th. The concert was amazing, and "Unleash!!!!!" was performed to perfection as song #1. I was on row 8 on MISA's side, damn she is a great bass player. I already knew that, but seeing what she does in person was an amazing experience. All the girls did a great job, fantastic concert all in all. Band-Maid performed 26 songs, all 8 songs from the latest album Unleash were on the setlist. They performed one new song (Memorable), and two live debuts with I'll and Balance. We were not supposed to sing and cheer, so at first the crowd of almost 8000 were a bit quiet. Saiki and Miku did a few pep talks about that a few songs in, and off we went singing and cheering. Endless Story was epic with the crowd participating on the sing-along parts oh-oh-oh-oh. The consert started with Unleash!!!!! and Play, and ended with NO GOD and Choose Me. I've already applied the lottery for a ticket at Zepp Shinjuku on July 3rd. If that fails I'll be going to see them at the tour final at Yokohama Arena on November 26th, an arena with a capacity of 17000 people. When Band-Maid announced the tour final the crowd went wild. Band-Maid have great stadium rock songs, it will be an epic performance I'm sure of. EDIT: I won the ticket lottery for Band-Maid at Zepp Shinjuku on July 3rd, wow I'm going back to Tokyo to see Band-Maid live for the second time, I'm so happy PO

3回出てくるAメロからの展開が全て違っていて、特に2回目は予定調和から逸脱しているのが、いかにもBAND-MAIDらしい。ストレートなハードコア・パンク調から始まるもののメロディの展開が複雑なので、曲の全体像がつかみにくいが、繰返し聴いていくうちに馴染んでいくのは、いつものパターン。

This release is everything I had hoped for in a new Band Maid song. More “power duet vocals” like on Hibana & Corallium. More complex guitar interaction based on Miku’s growing talent (even if Kanami records the studio parts, Miku has to play this live and this song is crazy complex and fast) and harder but unique sound that keeps evolving. What a superb band. I keep trying not to fan boy over them but there is no other band that can do what they do.

Good point about Miku’s evolving guitar talent and how that’s allowing them to create and perform more complex material. She is continually raising the bar on her playing and now she’s absolutely a true kick-arse player with the full arsenal of rhythm guitar skills. I have no doubt anymore that she could absolutely play her parts during the recording sessions. But as we know she has to focus on the lyrics and vocal compositions and harmonies at that stage of their song-writing and recording process. In many ways, she has the most demanding performance role and our pigeon is making it look easier and easier. She is a true rock goddess nowadays. As ofc is the whole band 🔥😀🙌🏼🤘🏼🍻

ジャンル的に若いのに流行らないってのもあるけど、メイドの見た目と「ッポ」とか言う言葉遣いの謎キャラで、「かっこいい」に敏感な10代や20代に刺さらない感じだね。曲も声も演奏も全部かっこいいんだが、そこに気づく前にコンセプトと見た目で拒絶反応されてるのかもしれない。

Pretty sure the fans are right and this song and video are about COVID and the last few years. With the dark cloud of course representing COVID. These ladies are telling us their story of the last few years. How they felt isolated and alone at first. Then they came together as a band and found some sort of peace doing online concerts. So at least they could have some interaction with their fans. Now they are ready to be unleashed. ITS SHOWTIME! I saw them in Dallas in 2019. I saw how much they loved playing for their fans in person, Saiki's little smiles, Kanami yelling into her mic getting the crowd fired up for her new instrumental, and of course Miku enjoying her audience interactions during Omaginary Time (I have no idea how that's spelled). The energy in that room that night was amazing. I'm sure they are so ready to create that energy and excitment with their fans again after this long hard wait. I can't wait to see them again. I'll be losing my mind!

The spot where they are first all standing on the mesa (mesa not Misa), might be referring to the planned Budokon performance that was cancelled by Covid - the black cloud that sweeps over them and separates them all again. But I like the depression angle - the beam of light from their united presence on the spaceship doesn't dispel the virus from the world, but the depression that separated them from the world, allowing them to land on the stage once again.

@@t-shinji 確かに、今回選んだ3曲はコメント数の上位を選んだ訳ではなくて、とりあえずバンドメイドと言えばのthrillと、あとは結構人気かなと思った曲でしたので、比較的最近の曲は日数で比較するとコメント多めの気がしましたね。 ただ、Unleashは勢いが凄いなと思いますね。多分出したタイミングと歌詞の内容と映像の分かりやすさ、あとはアニメを使ったり過去のバンドメイドを振り返るような流れ等、注目点が多かった事と曲のインパクトの強さがあったんじゃないかなと思ってます。

On August 17th Japan time, BAND-MAID had their first LIVE in about 3 years in Osaka. This song was performed live for the first time. It was great. BAND-MAID had become an even stronger Rock Band. KANAMI's guitar performance reached its climax many times. Kanami is the best as a guitar player and as a woman.
