I hadn't seen a template rub jig before. I'm definitely adding that one to my lineup. Thanks as always for your helpful videos!

I've checked out many lately, but I must say, that is an excellent circle jig! I like the other jigs too. Great video!

Don't comment often but those are excellent. Especially like the low fence but that pattern follower is pretty good as well. Thanks for sharing.

Great video, I like these jigs, probably going to make them to. At 2:20 you say your jig can cut up to a radius of 28 inches, oops, I'm assuming you meant radius of 14, or diameter of 28. I'm looking at building an adjustable jig for various angles, adjustable in all 3 planes (I know the table can be tilt, as can the mitre fence) especially for compound cuts, can you suggest any. Sub'd and liked. 👍
@TheThoughtfulWoodworker7 ай бұрын
Yes you are correct the circle jig will cut circles up to 28" diameter. I've never seen a shop made jig for cutting compound angles at the bandsaw, but this may offer some inspiration... infinitytools.com/products/vrs-200-professional-vertical-router-sled?_pos=8&_sid=988c0b083&_ss=r Thanks!

What did you use to cut the miter slider bar? You mentioned bandsaw but does it have to be metal capable? I only have a wood bandsaw. Thanks and great videos. Going to subscribe now!

I actually make small miter bars like this from wood. It works just fine with a little paste wax. Thanks!

I make a lot of pieces that have curve edges and have found this method to be amazingly quick and easy. Just have to be careful your tape doesn't slip. Really messes up everything.
@TheThoughtfulWoodworker Жыл бұрын
Yep, good tape makes a difference. Thanks.

Is there a plan for the circle jig? I’m interested is where to put the adjustable track, measurements from the end, how far in the put the guide bar on the bottom?
@TheThoughtfulWoodworkerАй бұрын
I don't have plans, but there is another video... kzbin.info/www/bejne/aXjGoqRonN-eepI Might help you with the details. Thanks!

Can you post a link to the screw and flat nut you used in the T-Bar for the circle cutting jig? I cannot seem to find one that fits.
@TheThoughtfulWoodworker2 ай бұрын
The flat nut was from Woodcraft. Rockler has them too I think. The bolt was just from a local hardware store. As I recall, I had to cut it to length. Thanks.

Very nice thanks for posting do you have a bandsaw jig for sawing logs?

No, I haven't gotten into that. Sorry. Hopefully it's not too hard to build.

For the circle jig, what is the sweet spot for how the centering pin is set relative to the blade? Should the pin line up with the front of the teeth of the blade, or should it be in line with the middle of the blade?
@TheThoughtfulWoodworker Жыл бұрын
Anywhere adjacent to the blade or teeth seems to work well for the pivot track. Great question! Best to you.

i had to bolt an inch thick mdf onto my wen table, either the miter slot or the included miter bar were so out of spec they almost fell out vertically. maybe ill get some extra miter bar and hope the table is in spec. also threw out the included fence, dangerously bad design wobbled and bent before i even used it once. wen=not good.
@TheThoughtfulWoodworker7 ай бұрын
Ooohh sounds like a bad experience with that one.
