People in Chikjala appealed for a metro station and they got it. It is surprise, how people in Vidyanagar and Hunesmaranahalli didn't appeal for the same? It is really awkward to see metro passing through thickly populated areas and there is no station, whereas metro is meant for city public (also).

@@ayushgarg7033 Blue line will not be Delhi RRTS or the fast Airport line. BMRCL and GoK made mistake by not maximizing speed on this route. Average metro speed will be 38 kmph (at the best) between KR Prm and BIAL - so it will take 1hr 15 minutes. To get to KR Puram additional time from wherever you stay at (Varthur, Whitefield/Brookefield). So again something like 2 hrs overall. It will be even more for people in South - Sarjaour, Silk Board, Electronic City- same as cab but very inconvenient (change auto/cab to Metro, buy tickets, carry own luggage - without travellator help)- very tiresome, exhausting. Only 5% of Airport bound traffic will use Metro. Mostly the offices along ORR will use metro, and some folks living nearby blue line (not far off). For south Bangalore, Pink line and Red line (yet to start construction: available by 2036?) are better options, but again metro is slow with 33-35 kmph avg speed (BMRCL/ GoK mistake of not thinking how people will commute to Airport). Only solution is a fast RRTS like Delhi - Silk board- KR Prm- Decathlon- Airport with avg speed of 80 kmph and top speed of 120 kmph.

Why can't they give highest priority to Airport-Hebbal route? Once this is done,a lot of traffic on Bellary Road and Airport Road will come down and the cost of cab too will come down which will massively benefit people. BMRCL should give Silkboard-KR Puram and Airport-Hebbal very high priority so that atleast travel to airport becomes easier for everyone.

Bro... Heard from the news that , chikkjala station will be dropped. New station Allalasandra will be added and talks to reviewing Bettahalasuru station is going on. Is it true. If so where do they have space to build the station. Already they have launched U girders in the path right!!

Chikkajala station still looks fine and they are now doing the first pier cap . I think this should go through. Bettalhalasuru and Jakkur plantation even if they do, will be a retro fit with additional structures to support platform and house all of concourse facilities in off road structures

Not necessarily. All Land handed over, all clearance provided. It's the contractors who carry out the work. BMRCL has a full time MD, not exactly a problem between State and centre like K-Ride
