WOW I didn't know you managed Vitriol! I caught them as a 2-man group on this year’s tour, it was amazing! I hope Kyle and Matt can continue forward and make another album one day, their music is so brutally punishing, but in a way you say “Thank You” afterwards for! I've enjoyed a lot of the brutal death metal picks that you've mentioned, and the clip from Boundaries reminds me of Neck of the Woods. As for brutal death metal this year, I'd have to shout out to Cephalotripsy and their album Epigenetic Neurogenesis, also label mates on New Standard Elite: Despondency's album Matriphagy.

Hey man, your take on Aborted's new album was brilliant, perfect, it's a perfect decomposition of a review. I'm an Aborted fan since Global Flatline, but it was Necrotic Manifesto that got me hooked totally . Each time I listen to their latest album I feel like I'm being surprised, but I couldn't point out the "thing". Your review just unlocked my third eye on Aborted.

I only wish all the Christmas cabins of the Winter Fest in my city would blast this kind of music through their speakers instead of the eternal sugary coated Schmaltz of generic Christmess Muzak that terrorizes me whenever I have to cross it at the end of every freaking year. metalcore and deathcore are peak, they are the definitive evolution, it was meant to happen, and it is beautiful, they combine all the genres so well, especially death

Uhhhh they are the most repetitive and boring and uninspiring contrived garbage genres of all time... not a peak, more like an abyss... but yeah, the same riffs, vocal styles and song structures over and over are not remotely interesting to me. I like bands that sound distinct from others and defy genre boundaries, or define new ones, and write great, memorable songs and albums filled with authenticity and creativity and that resonate lyrically (ideally even through intelligible vocal styles, at least some of the time).
