Another good tip: if you have the same person coming in month to month to get what we call a cashiers check (some institutions may refer to it as something else) that is something you should pickup on. They are using it to pay rent and this is the perfect opportunity to suggest they meet with someone to speak about a mortgage. Also look at what else they may be getting these cashiers checks for, example if they are getting multiple checks to different institutions they are probably paying off loans or credit cards. This is another chance to suggest a debt consolidation loan and have all of those loans with your institution. I worked the teller line for 4 years before moving into my current office as a loan officer. The longer you do it the more aware you become of peoples needs.

Nancy castanon neither, you can look online to see if the position is still available. They will usually take it down within a week of choosing their new employee. if i don't have any experience with cash handling would it be harder for me to get hired?
@MelissaFreeman6 жыл бұрын
Johan Martinez they would most likely hire someone with some experience over someone with none, but it is not impossible! Apply anyway!

So I have a 2nd interview with BB&T today but I'm nervous that they will check my credit. My credit is in the 500 something range, could this cost me the job?
@MelissaFreeman4 жыл бұрын
Fluffy296 yes, they will check your credit. I’m not sure what it needs to be in order to get the position though. If you have an bank accounts that are charged off this will effect you because you’ll be in checx systems. I made a new and updated video on this top of you just look here on my channel

@@MelissaFreeman I have a charge off with Toys R Us from a few years back, would that count as something the bank would look at?
@chesneectp4 жыл бұрын
Do they tell people that they'll check their credit when they do the background check? I got the job and they said they just need to check my background and get my finger prints
