You have to know what you are buying. ARK's portfolio is essentially a venture capital portfolio. It's going to be crushed like all long-term assets during times like this. It requires very long holding periods to see if their thesis works out.

Great content Cathie, good to finally see and hear your mentor. I bought Tesla because of you and Tasha's research and in depth analysis work in March of 2020. I am eternally greatful. I believe you're right about bitcoin I wished I would have gotten in earlier. I don't have any, Some technical traders / investors (Garrid S) think its going to pull to about 10k, before it launches a huge breakout 100k by 4q or 1q of 2024. I hope it pulls back before the great breakout, i would get in then. Thank you for your expertise. I pity those that sell any Arkk Etf's

47:00, it’s because that is the way miners are paid to secure the network. The assumption is that when 21 million are mined the value of transaction will then be enough to secure the net work. It’s working! The value will go up as adoptability goes up.

Great stuff Cathie, as always. I got a question about Art's question "why not keep the value of Bitcoin constant and let the supply vary?" Although it sounds like a simple idea, my intuitive reaction was "Isn't this, more or less, the same thing, with similar consequences? - just the variables have been swapped or re-named?". Obviously, the mining of Bitcoin and many other aspects of the setup would need to be considered and I can imagine there is an important difference between the two scenarios, I just don't see it right now. It would be nice to get a short answer if at all possible. ;-)

Cathie, Bitcoin was created for one principle reason "Separation of Money and State". Everything in Bitcoin's implementation is in support of that. Any value or utility that Bitcoin has, stems from that, and that is where you should root your analysis.
