The biggest problem with politics is they want to save all these things for promises in their election campaigns but when they're elected they now need them to still be bad so they can promise to fix them for the re-elect and nothing gets done. Maybe having a guy who is in his final years as a politician was a good thing because he maybe wants to go out on a high having accomplished a lasting legacy that will benefit every single human in America.

Here's the problem with the bill they passed, it wasn't enough. It literally does not have to funds to replace all the lead pipe that are still out there. It does fund replacing SOME of them. But not enough to replace ALL of them. That is insane. How was that not one of the more priority funded issues to fund? The bill initially funded replacing them all. So someone on the GOP literally argued against replacing lead pipes in the U.S. They couldn't cut some funding to Broad bad to insure there were no more lead pipes for drinking water? The priorities are insane.

Not only do we NEED the infrastructure bill to fix roads and such... but this will also HELP the economy in many ways. It puts people to work as it takes not just workers directly on the infrastructure but also all the companies (and their workers) that supply the materials. All those people will spend and invest money which helps others too. Also having better roads, rail, ports, etc. also makes it better for businesses and people to transport goods and people. It's so much better than the trickle down economics where we just hand tax cuts to the ultra rich who just end up sitting on the money instead of spreading it around like they are supposed to do. Let's consider this welfare reform for the corporations and ultra-rich... they still benefit... but they have to do more to get it.
