So impressed at how quickly you put this together! A great summary of a great movement in a great community.

I see this video and I think the cube has to include Oko Thief of Crowns and whoever plays it has to take a shot of Malort.

This is more your most ambitious video yet! Really loved it and especially loved seeing all our new friends :)

Thank you, Nick. Very kind. Excited to see all the new cubes popping up in the design space and even more excited to just connect more with friends while playing Magic.

I designed a cube a little while ago and I didn't realize it's a bar cube! Thanks for giving me the intro to this cube classification; I may have to update my No-Nonsense Travel cube to be a bar cube!

I learned to play Magic 27 years ago on the pool table of my uncles favorite bar. We played with the bar staff until the bar opened.

Loved the video! The effort here is really clear And the bar cube might be the first cube I ever build, idk, but the daunting task of making a cube might be easier in this type of environment!

Thank you! Bar Cube is definitely a good place to start. Bar Cubes are usually for 4 people so only 180 cards needed ... versus building a whole 360. Plus, after you build your Bar Cube you can always expand it in the future!

Commander draft format I have played for the last 6 months in our 4 player pob. * 3 packs per player (or ca 50 cards per player from any cube * 40 card size decks minimum * 25 starting health * Any rare/mythic/legendary/planeswalker can be commander (if players still stuggle, allow uncommons) * No color locks due to commander because that make no sense in a limited format Bonus: We use monarch rule because it is a great multiplayer option to guide who to attack and reward it. the first player to deal combat damage take the monarch card. This format allow you to dive heads first into THEME and flavor, endorsing the mechanics in any format, and have commander involved too. PS: And remember, buying a draft/play booster box = buying a set thematic CUBE!

I just found this video and this sounds super cool, especially with all the classics and reprints from Foundations. IDK if the one I brew up will be *100%* Foundations but definitely leaning in that direction atm

Foundations-inspired Bar Cube sounds like gas!

This has the exact same message as a video called Primal and the Death of the $100 Board Game. Having nice components is the standard for so many new games, but nothing beats the feeling of raw gameplay. The highlight of my table should be my opponents, not the tray that holds my game pieces
@ChillMTGtvАй бұрын
I'm okay with nice/quality components. But I don't want to feel "removed from the game" or have barriers put in place that restrict how/when/where I play my favorite game. Thanks for watching!

@@energetek661 That's awesome! I love how set Cubes capture the feeling of the thematic planes. Dan's quote, from the video, about how Bar Cubing leads to more Cubing overall is super accurate. I'm out every Friday jamming games. When you put your Bar Cube together, shoot me a link!
