I met Dame Barbara Cartland and read all her books. I actually met her in Scotland in the highlands & she gave me her Autograph. She's a very down to earth & charming lady. Even today I still love reading her books. Princess Diana's step mother Raine is the daughter of Dame Barbara Cartland. That made Cartland Diana’s step grandmother.

Princess Diana changed the Monarchy & brought it into modern times. Her Sacrifice was the price for change equally Titanic's foundering changed Marine law making ocean Travel safe for everyone. Sometimes & as tragic as it is, change means sacrifice. If we want to evolve & move forward towards clarity & Enlightenment we do need to revise ourselves individually as in the case of the Monarchy, Queen Elizabeth knew this but unfortunately was too late for Diana but it did help QE2 make change because her death changed QE2. The Monarchy more or less martyred Diana to maintain its old ways, The Queen knew this but it forced the queen to step up to modern times. I just hope the Monarchy doesn't forget this sacrifice & continue to change with the times without changing the continuity of its institution & what it stands for. Themonarchy still has a ways to go but its doing it & that's is Diana's legacy. LOVE should be the cornerstone & foundation of a Monarchy & unifies it with the people.

Diana knew exactly what she was doing when dating one middle eastern millionaire after another. She knew this would cause great upset and embarrassment to the royal family. That's why she chose this particular demographic. She also knew that getting herself filmed doing 'humanitarian' charitable events and deeds is great publicity, that's why she arranged for many news cameras to film her doing it. She knew what the marriage to Charles would consist of, that he would most probably have at least one mistress, it's almost a given in these circles and she was aware of this. She wasn't stupid and was very aware of the potential consequences. Yet she carried on manipulating the situation. I'm not saying it's fair or right what happened to her but she certainly was not naïve to what was going on.
