I met Dame Barbara Cartland and read all her books. I actually met her in Scotland in the highlands & she gave me her Autograph. She's a very down to earth & charming lady. Even today I still love reading her books. Princess Diana's step mother Raine is the daughter of Dame Barbara Cartland. That made Cartland Diana’s step grandmother.

Dame Barbara herself is a remarkable woman and is quite correct in saying we all want love! Thank you Dame Barbara for your words and inspiration to the world. I think Diana really loved Charles. She seemed very romantic and idealistic in the beginning. What a blow it must have been when your suspicions became real. I believe she was lonely and doing those charitable works made her happy and with purpose. She made some mistakes herself and in the end her judgment to not have royal protection may have made a difference.

Look, they were terribly mismatched. 50% of all marriages fail. Charles was willing to carry on with discrete separate lives, not unlike many prominent people. Diana not only was not willing to do that, she was spiteful and went public. I doubt she could have been happy with any man. Too needy. Too damaged from childhood.

She didn’t know Diana, she was her step grandmother, they called BarbaraCartland Widow Twankey. Diana was adult when her father married Raine and though Jane and Sarah were ok with it, Diana physically attacked her father and Raine, pushing her down the stairs , she was hurt quite badly when Johnny Spencer died, after being cared for by Raine for a long time, Diana and her brother turned up at Althorp before the funeral and told Raine to get out, Raine packed her clothing into trunks which Diana emptied and threw the contents out if the front door….very classy. Barbara Cartland is jumping on a band wagon here, she’s plugging her books.

Princess Diana changed the Monarchy & brought it into modern times. Her Sacrifice was the price for change equally Titanic's foundering changed Marine law making ocean Travel safe for everyone. Sometimes & as tragic as it is, change means sacrifice. If we want to evolve & move forward towards clarity & Enlightenment we do need to revise ourselves individually as in the case of the Monarchy, Queen Elizabeth knew this but unfortunately was too late for Diana but it did help QE2 make change because her death changed QE2. The Monarchy more or less martyred Diana to maintain its old ways, The Queen knew this but it forced the queen to step up to modern times. I just hope the Monarchy doesn't forget this sacrifice & continue to change with the times without changing the continuity of its institution & what it stands for. Themonarchy still has a ways to go but its doing it & that's is Diana's legacy. LOVE should be the cornerstone & foundation of a Monarchy & unifies it with the people.

Diana knew exactly what she was doing when dating one middle eastern millionaire after another. She knew this would cause great upset and embarrassment to the royal family. That's why she chose this particular demographic. She also knew that getting herself filmed doing 'humanitarian' charitable events and deeds is great publicity, that's why she arranged for many news cameras to film her doing it. She knew what the marriage to Charles would consist of, that he would most probably have at least one mistress, it's almost a given in these circles and she was aware of this. She wasn't stupid and was very aware of the potential consequences. Yet she carried on manipulating the situation. I'm not saying it's fair or right what happened to her but she certainly was not naïve to what was going on.

But even the devil believes in God. The only way to be forgiven of your sins, have a relationship God and go to heaven is through Jesus. I encourage you to read John 14:6 and John 3:16.

Charles, (then Prince of Wales) married, who he was TOLD to marry. Just as her late Majesty Queen Elizabeth II married, who she was told to marry. I don’t believe for one second that she defied the then Queen Elizabeth (Queen consort) and married Prince Philip against the firm’s wishes. But I will say this one thing about the late princess Diana, who was also an aristocrat. She knew how families like that worked. Her grandmother, the Lady Fermoy was a Lady waiting to her Queen Elizabeth (the queen consort.)

I wonder if Ms Cartland was aware that Diana has pushed Ms Cartland's daughter, Raine, down a flight of stairs when Raine herself was quite elderly already?

They didn’t take away her stuff she turned it down in fact she said herself the rf offered her full protection at all times she turned it down!! And if anyone is to blame for her death it’s her drunk driver and her getting in the car no seatbelt with a drunk driver ! I am no royalist but I know and watched her interviews and things her own friends and family have said!

Diana was not educated, to busy with expensive clothes, and had a narcist and unstable personality. Compare that with the mutch more intelligent down to earth Queen Camilla who is far better for the job.

Yeah ! The same thing should happen to Meghan Markle before everyone of you can standup for her and give interviews highlighting, how wonderful she is and how the royal family couldn't understand her genuine goodness 😢
