Luke, you did well to stick it out till last knockings, it’s amazing how often it pays off, well done. What a cracking barbel. I’ve only ever had one double from the Wye in several years fishing it. I had a two day trip to the Trent a couple of weeks ago with a few nice barbel so that was nice.

Third double from the Wye this year. Good going. Worth getting stung for 🙂 think that long hair just doesn't keep chub away but picks out the better barbel. Any reason you swapped hooklengths from maxima to the drennan stuff?

Thanks for the comment mate! I'm still stinging this morning. No reason for the change at all, I just like to try different things from time to time. Maxima is still my favourite for sure.
