A very enjoyable video, I enjoyed watching it! I am very familiar with this stretch and have done reasonably well there over the last few years although I’ve not done so well on that particular swim. Two lovely barbel, well done!

Another wonderfully atmospheric film - thank you 🙏 I fished a similar swim at Emstrey on the Severn today - testing rising levels, but managed to tease a nice 11lb 8oz barbel out on a rolling tuna pellet and a brace of 5lb bream 🎣

Lovely video, inspired me to go back to one rod/roving style fishing, like i used to when i was younger down south, easy on the trent to always fishing 2 rods in the air etc, aload of gear etc ,thank you, tight lines, good health and safe travels, cheers craig

Hi there ive just sat down in my very hectic life and had a rare 30 minutes spare and i love watching fishing videos but wow this video is so amazing so firstly i want to congratulate you on this footage.A 29:25 brilliant idea with the no voice but still all the natural sound effects its so relaxing!! Love the centre pin and the fact that you dont need to take the kitchen sink with you when fishing. River fishing is my heart but not managed go for over 15 years and miss going on the river severn in Shrewsbury from an hours travel from Newcastle under lyme stoke on trent but just literally not had the time with step kids my little boy pets and full time work had literally stopped me but hoping to start going again soon . I massive well done on this footage and im sure ill spread the word to my family and fishing friends.

Hi Martin, I'm immensely gretful in you taking the time to post such a wonderful comment, life is fast and sadly seems to be going by faster and getting nosier. It pleases me greatly that my work has had a positive effect and if it inspired you to grab a rod and go insearch of a river somewhere my work here is done. Thanks again and take time.

@@silentangling you are more then welcome. I'm 53 years old still feel like I'm 30 but since covid I realise how much I just love fishing.not match fishing as I just like the peace especially when my work and family life just literally stops the other thing I love and it can be very frustrating.i used to go anything from 40 to 50 times a year to literally 3 to 5 times and then it's very quick 2 3hour max time when all the chores are done and school pets etc plus taxi services for my old step kids. I'm very happy with my family etc but I just wish I could go a few more times to I suppose escape! Thanks again and keep them coming.

Hi Matt, It"s a good method when the river has got a bit of colour and flow , if you can fish it without a hooklink for long enough that the tip is rattling from the fish attacking the ball then you'll be in for some fun. Thank you for watching and commenting and showing support for our channel.

@@silentangling out of interest, why do you cast upstream? Is it just so the lead settles where you want it to?
@silentangling
@silentangling 11 ай бұрын
@@mattwhite1576 It requires less weight to hold upstream and with a large bow of slack line flowing downstream the fish are far less spooked if they come into contact with it. Bite indication is very different as you would of noticed in the film. Thank you for the question/comment. Please let us know how you get on.

Hi great videos very relaxing,I’ve only seen a couple of your videos have now subscribed I notice that you cast upstream most times,any reason for this? Keep up the good work love the vids
@silentangling
@silentangling 9 ай бұрын
Hi Christopher, Welcome aboard and big thanks for taking the time to both watch and comment, it really does help our channel grow. Fishing up stream allows for a lighter weight to hold bottom and the fish tend not to be spooked if they come into contact with a fairly loose line that's going with the flow as opposed to a tight line going up stream against the flow. This does require a slightly different bite detection but we'll worth the effort in learning. I hope this makes sense, I've tried to show upstream bites in some of the videos. Thanks again
