What's your preferred time of day to fish in the Autumn ? ( please feel free to comments below )
The first named storm of the season arrives and the winter gear gets an outing. Fishing a cage pellet feeder over a bed of pellets and hemp produces a hard fighting pocket barbel.

Hi love the videos, no music, no inane chat, angling as it used to be before commercial fisheries and drum and base.

Hi Kevin, Apologies for the late reply. Thank you so much for such wonderful feedback as its great to hear that my work is connecting with people. I am a closet D&B fan but Ill keep that for my headphones.

Hi Keith, They're are good rods but my only criticism is it feels that they have too many rings. Many thanks as always for taking the time to comment and your continued support.

Another most enjoyable video which I have watched several times. Some lovely barbel. Great to see some after dark footage too!

Hi Harry, It's great to hear I've enticed you back for another visit. This was the smallest barbel and by far my most prized fish of last year. It took a few attempts to get the night filming to work so I appreciate the feedback.

Wow what a video, battle with the fish, and the gale force wind, wonderful, i have joined Woking club just waiting for membership to arrive, then fish the river wey, many years ago some great Chub and big roach to be had, plus 4 big lakes, so some night fishing and lots to come later, love that Chub, excellent work, all the best mate.

Your videos perfectly represent what fishing is to me. Careful planning, perseverance, love of nature. And...silence. No need to communicate the sensations that we fishermen feel, those who need to understand will understand on their own. A technical question: don't you think that in similar conditions, maggots in a block end would give better results? Thank you, and compliments.

Hi, thank you for your very kind compliments and taking the time to watch and comment. My voice would do nothing more that break the spell and pollute the moment. The river at the moment is brimming with young small fish which would devour maggots, it is however a very effective method in the latter part of the winter and one which I will be using to speak out the big chub. Thanks again for your time it's truly appreciated .

Takes me back I'd be getting ready to go having looked at the barometer and say to my dad are you coming " you must be joking in that bloody wind ' he missed out on some good nights but on those occasions when yours truly blanked I got the old I told you so routine . 🤣 great film as usual and that robin is singing his autumn song I think the word I'm looking for is somber. 👍

Hi Martin, lovely story but Dad's don't always know best however he who dares wins Rodney. Robins and the Blackbird always signal Autumns arrival for me. Thank you sincerely for taking the time to comment not only does it help promote the video it inspires me to keep filming.

Good video fishing & surroundings! Was your feeder rod the drennan with which tip or different rod?
@silentangling

Hi Kinsley, The rod was the Drennan twintip with the 4oz carbon tip, its just about sufficient with a 2oz feeder. Thank you for both watching and taking the time to comment, not only is it good for helping the videos thrive it's good form my soul
