Hi Paul, I was a bit late starting my tench fishing this year however I felt I experienced a true tench anglers dawn. I spotted the grebe a few days earlier right up the other end of the lake and was going to spend a few hours watching them but it payed me a visit on my last day. That was a lovely video, absolutely no need for commentary, the sights and sounds of nature tell all that needs to be told. I'm away on Friday for a week after the tench and big roach on a gorgeous natural water that I've been going to for many years, only six or seven acres and thankfully underfished so it will be a combination of four o clock stars and eleven o clock finishes!

Yet another great video, very atmospheric. Good point about returning the weed. I need to find another Tench lake. I fished a gravel pit in the Cotswolds for a few short years. It is mainly a carp lake, but the average size of the tench were 5 to 6lb. My best were 7lb 8oz and 7lb 15oz. But it's now a syndicate water. Too expensive for me. Keep up the good work.
@silentanglingАй бұрын

Title " I'll kick your arse and throw you in the drink, ok I'll set the scene, back in a time long long ago ' well the 1970s to be precise two young anglers visited the local ponds after school armed with there vast amounts of fishing tackle" ok maybe stretching it a bit with vast but on this occasion the said lads had a secret weapon in there quest for tench yes ( two rake heads bolted together and a rope ) yours truly had the first couple of swings out with it followed by my mate having a couple of goes, I'd noticed a old chap sat on his basket at the far end of the pond and did see he was becoming a bit agitated by young lads hoying a rake into the water a few minutes later he appeared at the peg with what looked like steam coming out of his ears and a very red face " the conversation albeit brief went like this ( throw that ------- thing again and I'll kick your arse's and throw you in the drink the pair of you " go on go on I dare you ' we didn't reply now ordinarily he'd have got away with speaking too us like that because we would have biked the mile there and back but on this occasion my father had dropped us off " yes the cavalry arrived at 9.30pm " how have you done lads our reply was 3 three bream and a tench and verbal abuse from that guy in the far corner " what did he say .? I repeated word for word what the very unkind gentleman said " off storm's father doing a very close impression of the guy that arrived in our peg " anyway I'm not going to repeat on here the exact language that was used but it is fair to say that the same thing was going to be administered to him as he himself had threatened to dish out to us . Tight lines .
