Put simply, two guys were committed to the same spot on the track. Jett was racing his brother and went to the inside, Barcia was "racing" (trying not to get killed by) Friese, and guarded the inside. Yes it looked bad, not it wasn't intentional. It was a bit like the Ferrandis/Craig crash a few years ago, the only difference was those 2 were racing each other, here, Jett and Barcia weren't racing each other directly, they simply came together. Shit happens when you party naked, boys n girls.

#21 Anderson was having a decent night and no one is talking about the 3rd 450 race after the start you can see #27 Stewart crossing over in the first rhythm section and took out #21.
