A bit overstated, but I feel you. If they had produced more of this sort of work as opposed to moving into commercial sound after the first two albums... perhaps went acoustic side 1 / electric side 2 or something, they might have been more recognized. I think their commercial stuff was creative, but lacked the soul this album had.

There was a lot more that happened to Steven Page. He actually came to my university and gave a talk to the first-years. He had a lot of problems with mental illness that he was having problems dealing with. He's actually doing a lot of good what he's doing now, he very actively involved in Mental Health Awareness and that's a very noble thing.

Some people try to put other people in a box or pretend they are made of plastic. There isn't an easy solution to us we are all complex. If he is doing good and cares about what he does then no one has a justifiable reason to do anything but support him.

@@dabearcub thanks man, you too. I don't know anything about u, your age, whatever, but I'm sure when when someone loses their mom it's the same at practically any age. Hang in there. U will never get over it but you will accept it and her memory will live in you forever. The toughest thing for me is that she never met my daughter who is 8 years old now but her middle name is her own and my daughter asks about her sometimes and I get to talk about her and it helps.

I do not believe they play some of the older songs that are so associated Steven Page's unique and powerful voice... What a Good Boy, Jane, Break Your Heart. Others work and I like Ed Robertson or others voices. I love those songs, but some you could not do justice w/o Page.

Reminds me of my marriage to my son's mother. How she was right about my addiction, cost me everything yet I never admitted it to her. I just went through the years lying to myself just to make it through the day. Knowing is half the battle but for myself it took a cataclysm of epic proportion for me stop it all.

I love it. BNL rock. I got into them back in the 90's and no-one I knew had heard of them. A cople of us were playing guitar and stuff and my best mate and I got into them. We usually listen to country and rode in rodeos and stuff in Australia, so it was quite a shock to some of our friends when we pulled out the guitars and belted this song out and other BNL songs.

I love music. Steven page has a talent that I envy. If I could evoke the same emotion that he makes me feel I would sing. I wouldn't let anything get in between that. I feel he had the potential to be a classic voice that generations could appreciate. I would never let that go.
