Milk should be kept in the fridge because milk needs to be cold before steaming process to get the best stretched milk after steaming. Not sure why you want to display your milk out in room temp.

Actually I just pull it out when Im ready for my training of steaming, most of the time it stays in the refrigerator. If it's out for more than 20 mins, I'll change to a colder ones from the refrig :)

@@astrochan1212 Oh okay. If cost of milk is expensive where you live then instead of practicing with milk there are alternatives for just practicing. You can put a drop of dishwash soap in water and practice steaming milk. There is a product in USA that you can buy also. It is liquid and you put couple of drops to water and steam it as if milk. The finish you get is like milk and look white. If you want to practice steaming and latte art then you can sprinkle choco powder in water in a cup (for coffee alternative so you don't waste coffee beans) and then use the fake milk steam to practice steaming milk and do latte art. I have tried the liquid u mentioned, it's quite okay although it lacks the creaminess of milk. I have also tried dishwasher soap method for steam training, thank you :) Yes currently am going to train with steaming and pouring latte art, then sprinkle some leftover coffee grind or chocolate, and start the pour all over again. :)

interesting. Why do you take all that milk out and leave it on the counter? And why do you steam your milk on one pitcher and then pour it all into the other one? Obviously you like how the white pitcher pours but why not just steam the milk in the white one?

I was training for latte art, so didn't want to go back and forth to the refrigerator. And as for the pouring from 1 jug to the other, it is to help creating better mix between the foam and the milk that happens when pouring. I just prefer it this way. And I steamed better with the other jug haha.

Is this a V2 with the V3 kit? I thought the V3 didn't have the red lelit logo. I've got a black V3 on the way... Can't wait.

Also, the black soft mat you placed on top of Bianca is NOT good for the life of the machine. Yes, the warmth from inside the machine is used to heat the cups but that is a by-product only. The main purpose of the top is to VENT the heat from inside the machine to outside to keep the parts inside in good operation temperature but not overheat. You may be causing too much heat build up inside your Bianca which may cause some parts inside to fail prematurely. I am not criticizing you. I am an engineer so I studied up on E61 machines for along time before buying mine and I just want to share with others that have E61s so that they enjoy theirs as long as they can.

Noted, I have removed the black perforated mat, I thought since it's perforated, it should be able to let the heat pass through the holes between the mat. :)

@@astrochan1212 No worries mate! I was thinking of doing something similar until I read up on a warning somewhere that warned of not putting anything on top except some cups. Enjoy your Bianca!

Hi, just wondering if you use the low flow and pre infusion modes on the PID as well as the paddle or just the paddle to control the shots? Quite tempted by the Bianca but not sure how all three would integrate together.

I just use the paddle for control, as I like to adjust base on my eye :)
