My whole youth was spent "restoring" my 77' Celica coupe - of necessity lol. 18RG, Made my own camber plates, shortened struts and rear disc brake conversion - all in the late 80's.

Awesome. You and Sarah-n-Tuned both doing Celicas is awesome.

I think Sarah’s build and restoration is way more in depth than this one, and mostly done by herself with the Tundra V8 swap, fully custom wired, and even some old school lead body work techniques on the bumpers. Plus the custom AE86 suspension pieces.

Fantastic job on the restoration. Best friend used that same color on his 77 Corolla back in the early 80's. It was used on the Supra and pickups too.

What a gorgeous and tasteful restauration. People commend you for condensing your content, but I actually beg to differ: This could easily have been a 3 part series of 15 minutes per episode. A bit of interviewing the crew on what went easy and what turned out to be all strugglebus, etc. I know that video production makes everything take twice as long, and that you're basically just "letting us peek inside you workshop" out of the goodness of your heart. So what I'm saying is: If you ever suddenly become infatuated with content production you'll hear no protest from me :P

It's super refreshing to see someone spending the time and quality body work on a classic import, instead of the run of the mill 69 Camaro or other American muscle cars
@VirtualGuth3 ай бұрын
I owned a ‘67 Camaro convertible in my youth (I also owned a ‘77 Celica GT at one point). While the Camaro was the only American car that I’ve owned over the past 46 years, I still really appreciate such cars. But I get where you are coming from. Ironically, back in the 80s when I had the Celica, it was considered a pretty run of the mill car itself as Toyota had sold a lot of them (for good reason). I just dig cars in general.

Okay, so that’s how you do it ‘the right way’…and some of the work is better off done by specialized ‘craftsmen’ 🧐. This Celica is gettng the best treatment possible, and that on a usage-intended-never-ending-project! 😍 I personally wouldn’t have minded if the video was 4 times as long, but you are the maestro, and i just get to enjoy ‘the music’ for free, so thanks again for showing this! 👌 But let me get this straight; the process requires 6 full months of ‘curing’ to get the optimal results…😮. Wow, next level dedication. Immaculate everything. Just…WOW! 🤯
