Take a moment to tear yourself away from the epic fender tweaks and riffs... to study the gentle key bleeps and chimes... the soft 80's style synth that wraps you in a blanket of fuzzy smiles... The chords that take you on a journey through the music. Then realise that you were hearing all those keys in all of Pink Floyd's music... then you realise just how epic Richard Wright was. *PINK FLOYD FOREVER*

+stevefm fm Gilmour plays lead, rhythm, bass (including fretless), slide, peddle steel, and many more string instruments. On his new album, David plays a cumbus - a Turkish stringed instrument, rather like a banjo. Plus he plays drums, piano & keyboards, sax, harmonica and the kazoo (really!). He actually played bass guitar on many of the Pink Floyd tracks that one would assume Roger is playing on. I suspect the list is longer than this as well.

192 has a fantastic riff.. Let the joviality pass between Gilmour's attempt at drumming and the Bass player's cheeky grins.. to then finally have those thick chords in the main section - slap you in that satisfying way. Let the waving distortion wash over your mind. To be honest, it really sounds like a Floydy kind of chord selection; something akin to 'Time' or 'Us and Them'. They look so old - something which is met with mixed feelings of concern and acceptance. I can never forget, however, that excellent documentary film that accompanied their Pompeii tour of ''Echoes'' THAT'S how I remember them :)
