I actually like your stall. It looks nice and easy enough for a homesteading Woman to put together. Thanks for the tour. Much appreciated!!!

Looks good to me! As for the shy goat, my girls are very shy, except for the newest doe who is almost a year old now. However, I milked them on the stanchion and they did just fine. Maybe one or two hops after I put the lock on their neck and started milking them, but after that, they settled right down. They still don't like to be petted, but just getting them into the routine of eating on the stanchion to start with went a long way toward them settling down to be milked. Good luck!

For shy/skittish does. Get some birthing goop on your hands at their birth and let them lick it off. Gross, but they will forever think you're their baby and be friendlier.

How long did this hold up? I would think the wood would hold quite a bit of ammonia?? I by cheap linoleum and cover the wood. ;)

How long after kidding do you need to keep them separated from the herd?
@OzarklivingHomestead8 жыл бұрын
Its called plumbers strapping I use it for a lot of things. I have 2 goats that will be kidding soon and I still need to get them a separate place to kid at..

I checked a lot of e-books with woodworking plans. Instructions from woodprix are the best I think.
