the 'quick shifter' is not really a quick shifter - its actually named Gear Shift Assist. I understand after a while, the 'lag' between the gears meshing starts to screw up the gear box. Sometimes if youre nailing it and shift, it hangs about in no mans land for half a second - this could be a cause. I also understand MBW has tried to address this on newer models - not sure how well the did though. Another downside is its more thirsty then a cbr.

Wow, it looks like a constant game of frogger where you live. Pedestrians just crossing wherever the hell they want to, jumping out between cars and such. It's amazing more of them don't get run over.

..And its generally more expensive to run. Servicing, parts - pads alone are £160 a set! I'd also say its a little heavier than the CBR, but remove the MASSIVE CAT and get a Ti exhaust (FULL) and it should shave a good 10 kilos.

I too have got those Michelin Pilot Road 3's (MPR3). I've them on my BMW R 1200 RT since I switched from MPR2's about a year and a half ago. Besides good grip in most types of weather, they're also very durable. I roughly do about 25k with my aft tyre and 29k with my front tyre. Those Gerbing bloves will be a gift from Heaven in winter times. Even when it's freezing below zero, you'll still have sweaty hands. As far as I know, there are models which require cables and there's at least one model which doesn't. It requires batteries that you can fit inside the glove itself.

Good videos mate, love the banter. Watching this after your single R video though, I can't understand how you could possibly like the Double R on the road better. Maybe you've never taken a superbike to a track? You've got so many of them in Britain though! I always used to ride superbikes on the street, but then I started racing and afterwords I felt it was just so pointless to ride a superbike on the road. Anyway, cool videos. Cheers!
