I think it's odd that you'd consider it a "waste" to be concerned about things that even may be eternal, vs. truly wasting your time on playing music just so that somebody, for a while, will think you're relevant. I know these guys. They are fully satisfied in their lives, both presently and future. Well, yes of course they are wasting their lives, given the fact that everyone is agnostic, whether they realize it or not. There is absolutely no way they, or I (since we share the same physical senses) can know a 'god' with provable certainty. It is physically impossible. Ditto a 'grand designer'. Evolution has proven the ability of complex life to form and build upon itself over time, whether there was an original 'grand designer' or not. I lose nothing by humbly admitting this reality!
