Today I am a 66-year-old Latin American living in exile in Germany. In my teenage years I began to enjoy Barry Manilow's music, even though I didn't understand any English. Then, times of political turmoil kept me away from his music for a few years. However, my heart was forever touched by that wonderful music, and that is why today I want to congratulate all my contemporaries who, like me, preserved the style of our wonderful youth.

Barry....The spirit of music is you, Barry. It is a great song, but when you sing it the song is very special and it just makes us love you even more. The Audience is crazy about it. I wish you would remember those of us that are your older fans since 1974. You always sing about the young girls, but you know we are just almost your age and you still make us cry and we have heard it hundreds of times. Barry.....................Love you singing this song the way you do and certainly the whole audience is crazy about it and you. It was really neat when Frank Sinatra sang this song but he said "I sang the songs that the whole world sings. It was really so wonderful and I smiled for days over that. That is because for a few years I listen to you for 3+ hours every night no matter how I feel . What a great song, but everyone you do is great as you do not miss any detail that is important to you to be in the song. We all love you for this and many of your other talents.
