We've just hit 1,000 subscribers! To celebrate this milestone, we thought it fitting that we go out and film BART's brand-new Fleet of the Future on a large section of BART's busiest line, through the Transbay Tube and into San Francisco. Be sure to look out for the partial face reveal shown in the video at some point...
On this special video, witness BART's Fleet of the Future traveling between Pleasant Hill and Embarcadero Stations. On this particular journey, this train skips Lafayette and Orinda stations heading westbound, which for us meant a totally empty train car to film in for a solid 15 minutes.
We want to thank all our subscribers and viewers for their continued support, because without that this channel would not be possible. We have so much more coming after this 1,000-subscriber milestone, so stay tuned! We can't wait for what's in store.

Bart runs 2 express trains, both are slightly different. The Pleasant Hill limited skips rockridge, Orinda,Lafayette, and Walnut Creek. The other is the 24th Street limited which is the one this train was doing, and it only skips Lafayette and orinda. Only the yellow line has skip stop services

Thank you; I can try, but unfortunately this particular train appears to have been replaced by a legacy train in the last few weeks, so I can definitely film the Transbay Tube and Millbrae on the Red Line but perhaps not the Berkeley Hills tunnel for now.

BART basically wants to get these trains moving in the rush-hour direction as quickly as possible to increase line capacity, and the easy way to do that is to speed up the train's journey my making it skip unnecessary stops.

The last time I remember it was non stops on the yellow line from SFO to Daly City in the PM commute, No stops in San Bruno, South San Francisco, and Colma Stations. I rode it for myself, and we didn't have these new BART trains at the time like we have now.

I happened to spot this train heading the opposite direction I was going a couple times while riding BART, and I used the exact time I saw it and where it was to pinpoint its schedule. @@agems56 Comparing subways with High Speed Rail makes not much sense. 76 mph in a tunnel is very impressive for BART, considering the top speed of the Berlin U-ban is only 45 mph. Other references: (NY- 55 mph, Paris-43 mph, Shanghai- 60 mph, LA-79 mph)

These trains typically operated between Montgomery and Pleasant Hill, the busiest section of the line. I do have a lot of footage in the pipeline but life has just been super busy, once I have a minute I will upload more though!

Still too noisy. But at least the cloth seats are gone. They would absorb dirt, liquids smuggled onboard and other unmentionable fluids. I often brought a piece of cardboard in my attache case to place on a filthy seat fabric.
