I'd suggest a scrapping swagger wagon. 3 Large rovers linked together. First for seat, dirt canisters, RTG, paver and drill. Second for 2 large steel silos (1 silo filled with medium resource canisters and the other for research) and the third wagon with the extra large scrapper. You can drive around to all that extra large scrap from the research pyramids and the destroyed buggies.

Since Desolo is rather small, it has only two gateway stations. They are always along the galactic band (look above you, if you always walk along this band, you will inevitably run into the stations). Now build an oxygenator and create an oxygen line around Desolo or as far as needed and seek for whatever you try to find there. Another tip: On Planets there are six Gateway stations on each. 4 are along the galactic band (always) and two are on the poles. I avoid the ones at the poles because sunlight is scarce there and that is not ideal for solar collectors or actually seeing anything when it's mostly a perpetual night (the sun is alway running along the galactic band, so the days on the poles are rather dark and the nights are long). This is also a good way of never getting lost again, because even if you veered out of the "galactic band above you" path, you can always return to it by simply walking back so it's right above you. That means: Always build your base at one of the gateway stations along the galactic band - you will always find it that way. I never looked at my compass again because of this simple navigational concept.
