So impressive. One thing I notice about European open-air markets is how clean and well-organized they are. Also the people are welcoming. Compared to other places you've visited around the world, some of the outdoor markets seemed chaotic and unhygienic.

Agreed. I love the holidays in Europe. I grew up loving Christmas and everything Christmas. I wish more people would decorate for the holidays, no matter what holidays they celebrate. It’s so beautiful and festive in December. I miss the days when everyone seemed to care and decorate their homes. I’ve even seen people living in tents with holiday lights. It’s a beautiful loving time of the year.

Another fantastic episode. The German couple watching you eat the salmon and fried potato patty made me laugh out loud. I've been wondering why in Switzerland the gluhwein cups were so plain looking.. I guess every market is slightly different. When I lived in Germany, the gluhwein was sold in decorative cups like the one you showed towards the end of the video when you got some hot chocolate. And yes, they would give you half the cost back if you returned it.

As a swiss person who lives like 15 minutes away from this market, on the countryside of Basel, here in Switzerland people dont usually walk around with cameras filming everyone, officially you aren‘t supposed to film faces of strangers without their consent and most swiss people do follow that rule. @bookinsights1092 It was created in Great Britain, not all of Europe. All the other European countries have their own languages. You probably won't hear a lot of Germans fluently speaking Spanish. Besides, it's not just Europeans. You'll find people fluent in English all over the world.

Hi Ace, 10:10 - 10:15: You were looking at Licorice, NOT fudge with Liquor in it. Those were square chunks of licorice fudge. Do you usually like licorice? I’ve only seen the typical red or black licorice whips that kids and adults buy at the grocery and candy stores in the US. You thought that word was liquor or liqueur when you read the little sign. I never liked licorice as a kid, so I wish you had tasted the black licorice fudge to see how it tasted. I really enjoyed this video. I would love to visit Switzerland some day. You are a very blessed man to be fortunate enough to travel around the world. Happy Holidays! Pam in Chicago
