This is amazing for stress-relief! The concentration on breath really helps ease anxiety.

Ook, I have a small question. I am for the first time looking for info on yoga and have decided to at least give it a try, I have this 'change things already' plan in my head. Yet, I want to ask if I should learn a few beginner poses and practice them for a few weeks, then change them with something more complex, or try something different every few days?.. Ok, it may sound as a dumb question, but I can't go to visit an instructor anywhere around soo yeah ^_^'

Great smooth and controlled body movement. However, I mistook the title. I was looking for precise instruction on breathing. For example; During Sun Salutation when should we inhale and when should we exhale. Again, it was a pleasure to watch you move.

I lost the ability to sit cross legged back when I was in my 20's, I think, because I didn't do it for years! Use it or lose it is probably true. Can't sit on my heels, either. These are basic positions, so how is it possible to still do yoga???

I have a question. Am I supposed to be focusing on holding my abs tight throughout? I notice that I am having a hard time breathing when I do because there is tension and shaking. Or should I just let go and focus on breathing and trust the process to bring me to the point where I build strength? Thanks!
@taabir_10 жыл бұрын
no, use your abs and core to keep you up but you should be able to breathe. The only video you really need to hold your abs all tight is the the core strength video. And even then, she tells you how much pressure to put and where by guiding you through (:

while inhaling, your diaphragm moves downwards so the air can move into your body. while exhaling, the diaphragm pushes the air out of the body. --> inhaling: expanding stomach/breast area --> exhaling: stomach gets small again :)

Hi Tara! Wat yoga mat do u recommend that is within $25-$40 dollars? I keep on slipping on my yoga, especially my hands during down-dog. I am afraid i will end up injuring myself. I am new in yoga, your advice will be greatly appreciated. Thank u.:)
@tpboothe10 жыл бұрын
When you are talking, I can't tell if you are inhaling or exhaling between, during movements. Also can you emphasize the breathing a little more because your breathing instructions runs into the mumbles about body placement. For example, "bring your body up, exhale one vertebrata at time." Maybe you could please say "EXHALE down, then......" I have 2 kids who I want stress the breathing and not just the "getting to position". They tend to just bend, reach or drop without regarding their breaths.
@itsmemamia12 жыл бұрын
vice versa when you inhale you should feel your breath expanding the stomach and when you exhale you feel breath leaving that space!

Way too fast! She needs to slow down . Deep slow breaths should be that... slow
@whiskeybeerbeer10 жыл бұрын
1. she needs to work within the time format. 2. She is not running a class, she is giving information that can be watched over and over again. If it drags too much watching it enough to get informed becomes a drag. I think it is perfect for the reasons i listed.

This whole "beginners" course is very disappointing. I have no idea where "beginner" part is supposed to be. Maybe in some people mind "beginner workout" equals "short workout", but that is so not true. Some videos here (for example balance class) were definitely not for beginners. Also, what is up with this weird music in the background? Very anticlimactic and it only adds to the feeling that the whole video is very rushed. No relaxation here. Also, Tara seems to be lacking energy. I don't really recommend it to anyone, there are far better free yoga classes here on youtube.
@NadaNadida7 жыл бұрын
Lady Chaos I feel it otherwise. I'm a beginner but I found this helps a lot, so I guess it's all relative
