@@steppenwolf6692​​⁠ My question is what would I get issued when going over there because under the ARMY ROTC here in Hawaii told me that I have to attend the Cadet summer training So what would I get issued would it be PT uniforms shorts and a shirt Water bottle Common Access Card OCP uniforms Coat pants and shirts Boots Cover (Hat) ? and what platoon would I be in when going their since I would be coming from the Hawaii Army ROTC ? because I was told that I have to attend in order to get back in the program here in Hawaii and my dad was not Military but he was Law Enforcement on the Federal side and he was a Federal Agent for the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) but my grandfather on my mom side was in the Marines for 20 years fought in Vietnam 🇻🇳 and he was with 2/3 (2nd Marine /3rd Battalion) and he never talked about the war with me though but he was the one I looked up to as well And any advice how I can finish the 300 at the CST (Cadet Summer Training)

@@WyattKahoaliiAiu You will get everything issued at basic camp. The platoons will be assigned when you arrive. Don't worry about anything, you will get everything there. Good luck 👍 Its a great experience. You may hate in the beginning but keep going strong. Don't give up, because you need to graduate to stay in your program. Advice: I would bring my own 2 boots. Because you might not care for the ones their issue you.

Im a senior in high school still and In my junior year did the split ops program and went to BCT already, so im in the reserve, I plan on going to college and do rotc and commission at the end, what would i still need to do and what would i not need to do going into rotc to commission?

To be eligible for an ROTC scholarship you must be under 31 the year you commission, we recommend talking to an Army recruiter or reach out to your local Army ROTC program to learn about opportunities or waivers for your specific situation. Basic Camp is primarily attended by cadets who join to complete less than four years of ROTC through the Early Commissioning Program (two years) or as a lateral entry cadet who joined later in their college career, completing Basic Camp catches them up to a third year cadet.

⁠@@christa2068yea I was one of them with the age of 32. What they mean is that you need to be younger than 31 to get a scholarship. If you are older you can still join the program, like I did, but you won’t be eligible for the scholarship. 😎
