Thank you so much for everything dude, hope I can you offer you a beer sometimes. Cheers from France mate.

I think for bluff-raising hands on the flop Double Backdoor hands have an advantage over draws because they have built in guidance on whether to continue on the turn. That is, if they gain EQ you barrel, and if not you give up.

Idea for a follow up series: 1) Sit your "Side chick" down in the FE classroom for an 8hr seminar 2) get sample from real play 3) repeat classroom seminar this time integrating the sample/imbalance discussion. Rinse & repeat to explore which approach is superior.

Considering the stakes is for practice, if people attempt to exploit, it would actually help. They'll find better methods to implement GTO concepts, quicker.

I don’t know why we not used the colors on cards instead of a randomizer since it’s easily transferred to live poker. Before the session( or the hour) say that redsuited hands are doing the aggressive choice, for unsuited all combos having red topcard. All 25,50,75% options are covered and more is not useful or ? 🤔

Just a short critique on your teaching: To be great at cash games means to be super efficient in getting the fishes money. Getting MAX money from real fish doesn't need ANY GTO and needs a lot of experience + intuition + inherent skill, it is not really teachable (real fishes also tend to bust really quickly, so getting MAX is very important). I'm not talking about exploiting slightly bad players online (in which case a solver can help a ton). Also I'm not saying that GTO is useless, it is useful and every aspiring poker player should learn it, but IMO he/she should learn it after grasping the game at least a bit (for example he should already recognize table dynamics, have a feeling of what in which situation is a value hand etc...). What use is it to play some simplification of a GTO strategy if you can't even recognize the fish at your table?

10:55 Instead of using a randomizer, can we consider the aggression tendency of villain? If villain seems passive and we know to a certain degree that villain will only call our raise and not re-raise then this fact is a good incentive to raise? Or if villain seems aggro and we know there's good chance that we might get 4-bet, then just calling with nut-flush draw is the right play?

Honest question, as simple as you are making this, im still slightly confused and trying to follow your solver use etc and looking at equity on the solver or other app has me confused pretty badly, how is your beginner gf doing this if you had to tell her what top pair was? How can she be studying that for every hand like you mentioned? Im just trying to follow along, not hate on this. As I want to learn gto and get better but my head is spinning and I dont have that solver to study each hands equity etc
@Lucymai122 жыл бұрын
The strategy his gf follows is outlined in the videos, no? Like betting trash and the strongest hands and checking the middling hands. What are you confused about? The situations where they didn't talk about yet, the gf just decides without knowing whats right, like he is pretty much making simple guidelines, easy to remember (or write them on a piece of paper) and follow them in the games, she is still a losing player no doubt. But you're gonna be if you have no idea of river strategy.

In the interest of simplification and as she’s playing 10NL where she’s not likely to be exploited, rather than using a randomiser could she raise her high strong draws and call her low strong draws and raise her low weak draws and call her high weak draws?
@Cowtymsmiesznego3 жыл бұрын
Presumably it's easier to just randomize 50/50 than to try to determine which draws count as strong/weak and low/high on different boards and with different pre-flop ranges.
