Grading is a technical skill that requires a deep understanding of pattern-making, human anatomy, and garment construction. It's a crucial aspect of fashion design because it allows designers to offer their creations to a wider audience, accommodating the diverse body shapes and sizes that exist. Graded patterns are the foundation for mass production in the fashion industry, ensuring that garments fit well and maintain the designer's vision across a range of sizes.
When you grade a sleeve pattern, you have to consider the sleeve length, bicep, hem, sleeve cap height, and total armhole length. You have to grade the front & back body before you grade the sleeve pattern.

@@NemoNAzad The method is not that different. Low sleeve cap pattern has less curved armhole line and no ease needed.
