Thank you for your informative content! Sci fi is one of my most favorite genre in literature! And if you don't mind please do a deep dive about magical girl genre in shoujo/josei next! I'm used to be a big fan of magical girl series like Sailor Moon, Cardcaptor Sakura, Mermaid Melody, Tokyo Mew Mew, Kamichama Karin, Princess Tutu, Minky Momo, Magical Emi, Pastel Yumi, Mary Bell, Dr. Rin, Ultra Maniac, Sweet Mint, Ojamajo Doremi, Power Puff Girls Z, etc. imo discussing about magical girl genre in depth plus their development and status in this current era would be interesting!

Nature is healing, finally the women's touch on Sci-Fi returns to its proper place... Lol, but I can't lie, I always loved sci-fi made by women and girls because actually gets more weird (in the good way ofc). Not diminishing male written sci-fi but sometimes the hyper militaristic and war coded can turn boring to me really quick

I don’t think it’s diminishing to men to say you like women’s sci-fi stories, it’s likely those female authors have been diminished themselves because of sexism so need some propping up and mention now. Also I’m thinking about it and I can’t really think of many darker sci-fi stories that don’t involve the macho military stuff. Which is probably why I say I don’t like sci-fi that much because the stuff I’ve seen I’ve seen a bit too many times now.

Great video! Thanks for covering They Were 11! I had to read it before continuing and went and tracked it down and read through it in one go. I did finish this video afterwards lol I discovered and read all of PSME before it got licensed. It has it's flaws(the age gap still weirds me out) but still adore it as the story is so well written. Wow I was so young when I watched Jyu Oh Sei, I even forgot about it. Seeing the thumbnail just electro-shocked it back to life in my memory 😂 Weirdly I remember just being obsessed with the outfits and the general gender fuckery. I’m pretty sure the larger themes were going over my head.
