The difference is...you guys in america are fans/clients and we in europe, we are supporters! We don't care about how comfortable the seats are, or how many different foods and drinks they have at the stadium. We only want to help the team as best as we can to win the game...that's all that matters.

you asked how they know what song ti sing? there are oraginzed groups and those groups are no joke they are dangerous a lot of fights is there but the passion of those supporters known as Ultras is un real they will die for the club and those organized groups have their leaders its like an army for example: partizan (partizan club) name of partizan fans is "Grobari" in grobari there are smaller groups "vandal boys" "alcartaz" and many more and for grobari there are some leadres and they are givnig you order for songs and for tifo and many more things sry for bad english

IN EUROPE MOST OF THE CLUBS THEY HAVE MANY ATHLETIC SECTIONS UNDER OF THE SAME NAME (FOOTBALL, BASKET, VOLLEY WATER POLO,HANDBALL AND MORE) AND FANS FOLLOWING THE TEAM TO ALL SPORT EVENTS.SOMETIMES WE PREFER A SPORT MORE BUT THE DEEP LOVE IS FROM THE CLUB AND NOT FROM SPECIFIC SPORT. I can't speak on other fans but after after a smoke bomb was thrown onto the pitch at Red Bull Arena (in Harrison, New Jersey), New York City Football Club was hit with a fine by the league and our allocation tickets were cut from having a section for 1,500 supporters to 500 (and we're still only allowed 500 in our own section on the North side of the stadium when we visit for a game). The league was never to happy with the teams supporters as smoke bombs in the stands were a regular occurrence.

V&V vision in case you don't know that , the first and the third teams were from Greece, the second from Serbia. You asked if we practice on what we sing . The answer is no . You hear these songs in the stadium many times for years so you learn the lyrics and the choreography. You should visit one day our stadiums . Nice video

Yep, here in Europe we take our teamsports very seriously. Especially in the Balkan region, Greece and Turkey. For them it means war! And the songs are not happy songs. Usually the songs contain lots of insults towards the opponent. And I mean lots!

I think the difference between America and Europe is that in America you allow the man with the money i.e the club owners dictate what happens and when it happens it seems vey homogenised whereas in Europe the fans dictate and if the money men try to interfere they would get run out of town, fan power rules.
