I’ve realized there’s a lack of content in terms of what NBA guys really do in the summer when they are trying to add to their game. Most of what is posted is pregame where they go light, a light “maintenance” workout in the off season, or just spot shots. These aren’t the stuff they did that got them to the league.

100% and even the more intense stuff they do in the off-season is different than what got them to the league. Don’t mimic what they do when they are in the league but what got them there. Made a good video on that topic of what player actually do to get to the league
Very good content as usual. Currently I ask myself a lot of questions about managing to simulate a defender. Adding speed is definitely not enough since the game doesn't necessarily need to be super fast. Adding decision-making, multiplying the options, I try little by little but I have the impression that the brain has trouble assimilating when the information is not visual but auditory. My biggest problem is the pressure, I find it difficult to create it myself since I am often alone to train. Do you have any advice on how to simulate the pressure even though I know it will be impossible to do it perfectly...?

all that is correct, by yourself not going to be able to simulate defense because we aren't reading anything, in terms of adding pressure, add consequences, complete drills under a certain time frame all helps, even just adding a little pressure is better than none

@@BasketballIsAnObsession yes there is, ^ add time constraints to drills, scoring system always trying to beat your score, aim for x amount in a row and have consequences if you dont get it

You one of those trainers that thinks basketball is a lot more difficult than it really is. Majority of NBA players have predetermined moves and then counters off those which doesn’t mean it’s unpredictable. Also the greats have always done these with no defense and at their own pace. You don’t have to go a thousand miles an hour on every move

lol, nah I don’t over complicate it at all. Just use science and basic principles of learning and tie that to basketball

Even Gilbert Arenas and other former NBA players have came out and said the problem with trainers and kids nowadays is you wanna switch everything up when working on something instead of repping the same move 100 times in a row
@tjltraining4 ай бұрын
Repping the same thing out 100 times in a row is far from the best way to go..
