I paused the video to go to Walmart. They didn't have one. This video hurt because I saw it after coming home from a total skunk. The only thing I caught was my flannel sleeve with a treble. Ninja Turtle angling gets exciting, I detected your voice got a little higher in pitch. You may have nightmares of being devoured by a Mutant Ninja Turtle. The question is why you stopped fishing the Hellgrammite. Fishing live Hellgrammites gives me a case of the cooties. You need to try using single hooks on your crankbaits, I promise, you will be amazed how well they work. Try using Mann’s Baby Minus-1 next time.

I switched to the crank to cover that rip rap...and I was scares of another turtle encounter 😂 I have been throwing the Baby 1-minus in some ponds and such but limited luck. We had a huge temperature drop here so the bite fizzled quick. It has been a rough few trips!

@@DEBOSFishing The Minus-1 rattles like a trap and swims shallower so you stay out of the grass. The old rebel Humpback is cheap and always found in the bargain boxes at Wally Mart. If you see some they are great little lures and don’t cost much. White Pearl is killer in both baits. They are hard to cast unless you use spinning gear or light casting rods. I knew as soon you got to play with Mr. Turtle you didn’t want a repeat performance with another. They will bite onto your shoe and never let go. I had to laugh when I saw that thing. They hiss and make nasty sounds and snap there beaks. I knew a couple old turtle noodlers they would catch them by hand and make turtle soup. They made beautiful looking clocks from their shells, one of them was missing a finger from it being bit off by a turtle. They made all kinds of stuff with the shells and claws and beaks. They were both into primitive weapons and hunting with flintlocks. In other words, nuts, they were Jeremiah Johnson types. I made a few flintlock rifles and we became friends. I bought my first wife a pair of pierced earrings they made. I failed to tell her they were made of fine German silver and two dried Raccoon Penises. I hope she still wears them occasionally. They looked like twisted seashells.

Fun video to watch. Did go out this afternoon. It got 62 degrees and the wind stopped blowing so I grabbed gear and went. Threw my new chatterbaits but no bites and no loses this time! I changed over to a junebug big TRD worm with a 1/5th finesse Bulletz heads. Did lose one worm and jighead due to knot coming untied again. I had 5 fish in 2 months........i wish i could do at least 1 or 2 for every time i go out. Last time i saw like more than 20 perch together, as the water is clean, and i had none in 5 hours. Like all the time, first they get curious, but they don't bite. I've bought all the type of lures from the market, today i've got the first 2 packages, at the end of the week i will get the other 2, now to see what the hell it's working. I've spent like 70 usd in total, but i've got them all, from jigs to spinners, soft, spoons, crank, surface, worms.....my wife asked me if those are my sex toys................

blizzard Blissless they work great for bass. I bought one in loon and bone color after watching my friend catch multiple 3-4.5 pounders. The best part is that it already comes with a swivel up front so you won’t twist your line if the fins get tangled in vegetation. It’s always tied on my top water rod.

blizzard Blissless I haven’t had much luck on top water for the last few weeks until this evening. You definitely can’t go wrong with the price since they are about $3 cheaper than the whopper plopper. All I did was upgrade the trebles and let it rip. Have you tried throwing any spooks or poppers since fall started? The bigger bass here seem to like the walking and chugging baits at the moment.

@@paulward4078 I tried a popper for a little while couldn't get much action I dont throw walking baits all to much do to the fact that my local spots have been over fished and dont seem to have much size I did have a couple that I got off logs and dieing vegetation with a frog but that's about it I will have to pick up a super spook junior or puppy some time and try that thanks for the advice.

having a family with a farm, i had a few learning experiences with stocking ponds. it can be tricky but for the most part they get filled by flooding so its a fast and natural reset haha. you did much better than my last fishing trip..... had one 8 inch bass swipe at a jerkbait swim off a few feet then it got slammed by a bass i would say it was about 4-5lbs..... i was a bit frustrated.

I found a pond like this. It's a perfect frog pond too! Pulled 15 bass in about 2 hours. Biggest was 1.5 pounds but most went probably 3/4 of a pound, but man what a blast!!!! Especially with a frog!! One of my favorite days fishing!

It was the venom lures Tokyo rig. I haven't used it much. I fish a ton of spots with vegetation and it seems to grab all of that. That's why I want to try it now with a lot of the vegetation dying off.

The reel on it is amazing. It's just a more expensive reel. If you wanted to put it together as a budget combo, something like a LFS speed spool or daiwa fuego.

That reel was a little more expensive. Generally is say to spend more on the reel than the rod. I got that rod on sale for $49. But it's all about what you prefer.

I had 12# p-line cxx on that rig. I use seaguar red label fluorocarbon a lot too. Just depends on the setup. Definitely no shortage of dinks on this trip 😂
