I'm still so shocked that this channel doesn't have more subs. I got back into fishing a few months ago and these vids have been so perfect!

Great advice Tyler, my dad always said "don't leave fish to find fish" and that has always stuck with me.

Great video Tyler. Definitely true for my lakes here in Kentucky!

I dealt with these exact conditions today. I didn’t do very well, but the only bites I got were on bare sticks or laydowns with no leaves and they had to be in the shade. You made some great points that I will think about next time, hopefully the water stays up so I can practice this situation

Great information. Isolated cover is def true. As a bank angler I’ve started looking for that cover and have been hiking into areas where no one goes. ... the main pond I fish is kept a certain level by two dams. So if rain is in forecast they lower the dams a bit so water level never really changes but goes from 6-8” visibility to zero.

Looking for isolated cover has helped me immensely the last few years. I’ve always learned that a bank with nothing but trees may have a few hotspots where there is deeper water. Tough to find without mapping, but seems to work well.

Fishing lakes after floods can definitely make it seem impossible and tricky to catch some fish. Excited to learn from this video. Keep up the great vids man

I’d love to see someone tackle a lake like bull shoals, which to me fits the description of a flooded lake. Seems like everyone on KZbin thinks two feet of water is a bunch, Bull comes up 30+ feet nearly every spring. Not trying to rant, just a common theme I’ve noticed. To me, this qualifies as flooded

I know your not from Texas when you say it floods during summer. I’m 60 years old and I can only remember one time that’s happened. We usually go thru June, July, August and September with maybe 2” all 4 months combined and that’s if we’re lucky. 1/2” a month is a lot of rain here. Our 15 day forecast has no days below triple digits.

Good ideas to consider. I would have been tempted to fish the more brushy shoreline.

Thank you, I fish a reservoir in southern Missouri. It is normal pool about 40% of the time. And the rest it’s 26 feet high. It can raise 10 feet within a day. The whole lake is pure brush and trees around all sides. It’s…. Interesting

What you are talking about is quantity and not quality ! Don't forget , "It's the thrill of the chase , not necessarily the catch "!
