I respect this guy for his mindset, way of understanding 'music' and love the way he explains about how he creates music in his mind and then saving it for making it a track

This is a great interview. I watched it right when it was posted, now a few years later, I think I enjoyed it even more. Lorin used to sleep on my friends couch when he played shows here... Now he sells out the biggest venues in the world... I've had the pleasure opening for him and meeting him on a few occasions, hes a great and nice guy. Biggups Lo.

just came across this interview. years 2020.mid coronavirus pandemic. bassnectar just released his newest mixtape "lockdown mixtape".for all his fans since basically every festival this spring/summer has been cancelled. I wish he did more interviews like this because he seems like a really awesome guy and someone i could use as a role model but unfortunatly this mans life is just a big secret anymore.... pardon my spelling, mid lockdown all we do is drink and im too lazy to go back and fix my grammatical errors.. anyways jeep rockin on bassheads!!!! fuckin killer interview @moboogie

it would've been nice if he explained the original genres it came out of instead of the broader ones. Specifically it was UKG, thats where the basslines come from, (zed bias, Wookie, Hatcha) with reggae/dub influences like organs, reverb or that guitar picking technique (forgot the name) most dubstep nowdays takes heavy influence from electro and heavy metal which to me seems to give a completely different vibe. I like both but ill take the sub heavy minimalistic original style dubstep any day

@goonsie it's rather obvious you have absolutely no formal musical training. Any musician worth his salt would and should know everything he's talking about. Maybe not the specific history of the electronic genre, but being able to understand the architecture of music.

do you understand that you just insulted 2 of the members of the Dubstep triple threat, so you comment is invalid because of two reasons....you actually show interest in these Skrillex hating comments and your counter argument was just calling another artist unintelligent....which in effect also make you seem kind of ignorant.
