Gotta love it when the fish are feeding. Having the Float Tube is like a cheat code sometimes.

FYI if the temp inside the box is hot enough to cook the fish its most likely also doing the same with the color INK on the carboard...which will then turn into an aerosol and get in the fish too.

You should try making a tripod. Cover it in pine bows and then set it up over a fire. The smoke is caught by the pine trees. Its takes several hours (i personally like 7) but that works really well. Just check every 30 minutes or so to add fuel then just fish.

Another great video in God’s beautiful creation. The difficulty of that fishing is knowing about the lake, getting to the lake, having the right gear and knowing what and how to use it, then getting into position. Then enjoy the fun!

Recently went to Portland for work. Looking for hikes on all trails found a loop trail up into the hills a bit that had 2 lakes on it. I thought about your videos and said I have to to do it. Almost 2 hours later I was left with disappointment though as all the service road gates were closed.

Add maple syrup near the end of the smoke. It will sightly harden and make your fish into Salmon\Trout candy. Every 90 minutes to 2 hours, paint the salmon with the maple syrup. This also helps to remove any albumen -- the icky white stuff -- that can form between the fish flakes if your smoker gets a little too hot too fast. When the salmon looks good and lacquered, typically about 3 to 4 hours, remove it to the drying racks again and paint it one last time with the maple syrup. Allow to cool to room temperature before storing. Salmon candy will last a week in the fridge, longer if vacuum sealed. It freezes well, too. When the weather is warmer, it’s best not to leave your catch hanging on a chain as this could damage the fish flesh. Your best bet is to store your catch in an ice-filled cooler. If you don’t have a cooler, you can soak moss and place it on the floor of your boat. Covering your fish with damp moss helps to preserve them. I have stored fish for 3 days and they are cool and as fresh as the day I caught them. kzbin.info/www/bejne/eofdip-uhLeMnLM
