I Don't Care How Bad This Makes Me Look | Thrifting Goodwill To Resell isn't always sunshines and rainbows. To get good at reselling, you have to learn how to walk away and raise your own bar.
It's been a wake up call each visit to every one of my recent thrifts trips to Goodwill and Savers. No matter what location I've gone to thrifting isn't my go to like before.
When something isn't working, it doesn't mean give up. Take it as a sign to step outside your comfort zone and try something new to get you back on track.
It's not that thrifting is getting harder, It's that I'm not settling for something I can't stand behind. I want the best for me and my customers.

I quit giving to GW a long time ago. When I could no longer afford to purchase their used clothing, that was it. It is a for profit retailer now and does not deserve to be given anything.

Goodwill has always been a for-profit retailer, but I agree with you, they have gotten out of control with their pricing. I haven’t donated to them in over one year & I rarely even stop into one anymore.

Used to work at a Goodwill. Everything is just taken from donation to distribution/display. The clothing is not washed, the collectibles aren't dusted, and the pricing is done by community service workers. If any label sounds quality to the sorters, they are placed in a more expensive category or display cabinet. Also, stores donate items they refuse to sell for cheap to Goodwill, especially from Target and Jcpennys. Stores get a donation write off, but Goodwill gets the buyers. Don't buy their garbage until they remember their origins and adjust their stores accordingly.

That’s unfortunate. I feel like it’s a waste of time to filter items and have people work to transport it somewhere, list it, ship it and so on. Let us do that 😊 goodwills and savers usually have people running in the doors on discount days. The other five days are usually slow. They should reconsider a simpler business like they used to not long ago.

We have four cats, all rescues or strays... Biscuit (Siamese), Dexter (brown tiger stripe), Samuel L. Jackson (a cool black cat), and Taco, a tiny little Manx we found during our last hurricane. They are pretty old, but then again, so are we, so it works out! 😁

Just found your channel. love your vibe and honesty. I've been reselling for almost 2 years now and love it. I really hate when people park that close. I try and stick to the Goodwill outlet aka bins for reselling ... as the store is way to over priced and they cherry pick the really good stuff for their online store.

I know the feeling about wanting glassware! Im now trying to figure out what to do with 4-5 file boxes that are full of ceramic knick knacks, trinket boxes, figurines, etc. I found out finding the glass for a steal & selling for a lot is what makes me smile! Hey Sonny, I'm a cat lover too. My cats are all indoor only and rescued. My oldest girl, Hazel, just turned 16, our middle cat, Aster is 8 and our newest little one that we rescued and saved from going to the shelter is Dolly and she's 2. Aster and Dolly got spayed last week and are healing well. We have 2 rescued pit bull mixes, Rex and Cooper, big cuddle bugs, and a house duck named Kale who is 8 years old. We have 2 cats one female (Squirt ) and one male (Garfield Ginger Morris). He is adopted from outside he was left to fend for himself on the street when the women moved out next door, she was terrible anyways glad shes gone. I don't have beer and vodka bottles in our yard anymore. But he was really sick we had to get him an operation he had bladder blockage he would have died if we didn't do it. we are living check by check but took a loan for $700 and he is good so far. God bless him, he needs c d cat food from the vet monthly. $40 for a 4 lb bag.
