muhammad hasan definitely can’t use red chilli powder , they use what is called in North Africa ‘Harissa’ which is a chilli paste which tends to be spicy and made from red chillis ... you can find this in most middle eastern shops so don’t use chilli powder it’s the wrong thing

i usually ommit the red chilli paste completely or chilli. i make with garlic and corriander. u can add a tsp lemon juice at the end .its still great! this coming from a lebanese but ultimately it depends on ur taste. either way without chilli it tastes great
