Love the simplicity of those doors, especially with that satiny sheen from the acrylic spray. The threshold looks so good with the ply, very stylish. “We’re not splashy people” made me laugh out loud and the cameo appearance from Inspector Dylan topped it all off beautifully. Thanks for another great video.🙏🏼

Great attention to detail! Im impressed. A tip for Hot Glue in the future is alcohol. Spray on some IPA or alcohol to the hot glue and give it 30 seconds and you can peel it off with your fingers. Makes it so much easier

I was just about to comment the same thing and then I spotted this. It really works great, I use hot glue for all sorts of "clamping" tasks now because I now I can remove it perfectly even from fragile surfaces.

Looks great Keith! Good tip for using hot glue on a router or anything really is cover it in masking or painters tape first, that way you can just pull it off after, I do the same when transferring shapes from one price to another, masking take on each piece then use miter mate or ca glue to stick them together, when you’re done they just pull apart 👍

Nice build Keith, lots of space, clean & bright. . My only concern is the ply lying directly into concrete that it might "wick up" moisture from the concrete. If you have a mm space, it would be worth putting a DPM under the ply to keep it away from the concrete.
@RagnBoneBrown
@RagnBoneBrown 3 жыл бұрын
Cheers John. As the room has no exterior walls (it's right in the centre of the house) the concrete stays dry, no rising damp. Also the silicone beneath would act as a moisture barrier, I think, unless it is touching I'm any areas! 👍

Another brilliant video as usual. My comment relates to where you get your sheet goods from. I live just the other side of Lowestoft and you would appear somewhere near Norwich. As you appear to like birch-ply, it would be good to compare prices with where I get mine from. Bathroom looks brilliant, hope your inspector agreed 😉

Great job Keith, the shower room is looking great. Could you not have used an electric hand planer or even bandsaw to reduce the plywood thickness? Nothing wrong with what you did but maybe just a bit more time consuming? Anyway, that's me put my tuppence worth in, it's always easy to advise others from your arm chair.😅 Great work as usual, take care.🙂

Cracking job! Would love to see more shots of the bathroom but you really nailed it. Seems like you're happy with manual measuring for the hinges but I picked up a Kreg concealed hinge jig for about £35 when I did my kitchen. Really easy and quick to use and perfect placement every time. We've also got a lot of birch ply in our house and have seen no water staining from mopping, but we used osmo oil-wax finish so YMMV I guess!
