My husband refuses to change the water temp for me. He says I just need to get used to it. But I have grown up in a cold climate and have lived my life taking hot showers. I am so sick of taking luke warm showers (sometimes I just feel like going to someone else's house to take a shower). Now that I've watched this, I am going to go home and fix this problem myself. Robert this was an excellent video. I bought a new Delta what a faucet cartridge for my bathtub and shower. I installed it last night and the water was just warm it wasn't hot. I don't have the same shower head as yours but thank you so much for this video. I'm living in my first apartment with roommates who refuse to do anything and my shower head broke a few days ago. I screwed it together but it only produced cold water. Through this video I realized that when I put it back together I must've turned the temperature stop onto cold. I just fixed it and I feel like a real handyman :)

I have physical problems and need hot epsom salt soaks for pain relief. My apartment building put in new faucets and ever since then, the water's been barely lukewarm and that doesn't help with my pain. Mine was a little different than yours, but similar enough to easily figure out how to adjust it. You taking the time to make this video has been more of a help to me than you'll ever know. Until seeing your video we were going to uninstall the faucet and return it to the store. We thought there was something wrong with it. Thank you! This is exactly what I needed to figure out how to increase the hot water coming out of the faucet. I did not have a leak, just warm, at the most, water coming out of the faucet. If only I learned this at the beginning of winter instead at the start of spring 2014!

What type of screw driver to use my screw look to be under the handle and similar faucet. When they changed ny heater it caused ny water to be where cold water isn't needed. I hate that, I like hot baths so I am hoping your instructions fix my problem. I remember the landlord saying she adjusted the water from the bathroom when it was where she stayed so I'm sure it will work when I get the right tool.

Hi Robert, My plumber installed this delta one bodysystem.The water pressure is very low & not enough hot comes out , the lever wasnt going far enough over to the left/hot, like in your video. But he is now out of town for 2 months. It looks like the one in your video but that white inner valve contraption is a lil different. This is an old house, I had the 2 knob system before & the water pressure was very good & strong. , there was a leak behind one of the knobs so when he fixed it I just decided to get the updated lever system. My neighbor has tried to help & took it apart but couldn't figure out how to dismantle a lil white piece /stopper that prohibited the metal screw with a lil lever from being able to go further left. He forced, it hoping the plastic white stopper would give & shift but it didn't budge & instead the lil lever on the metal screw just broke off. So now it actually turns allll the way left & the hot is good but if you go too far down the cold is on again. I guess he can fix that & order that housing portion from delta But how do we fix the water pressure??? is something like sediment or solder blocking the pipes, but it was strong before? is the water pressure just less when you switch to a onelever system? I hope that's not the case that pressure is way too low..any help will be greatly apprecated

+msmishadoll Yikes! Is pressure good out of the lower fill neck and weak out the shower head? It should still be strong. Is there an access there to make sure the service valves are open all the way, like on the other side of the wall or the water cut off to the bathroom?

first thanks so much for the fast reponse...the lower spout pressure has also diminished. This is a bathroom in the top floor on the attic side of the house. The sheetrock behind the wall is now open & exposed & no there is no local shutoff back there that we can see...we shut off water to the entire house from the main switch in the basement

Good video. But some of these have a set screw inside also so the white plastic can't be turned or removed until that is removed. Shame on the apartment complexes who pretend they don't know why the shower has no hot water. I kept saying it seems odd the handle only goes less than half way around.😱
