It's not the reboots that are the problem is the ideology there trying to push in them instead of just making a good show people will enjoy.

Oh I know that, and honestly I'm tired of the ideology and reboots.

I think all the theaters closed and cost them money. Streaming can’t replace box office sales.

The problem, especially with Disney, is that after a theatrical run there is no licensing and streaming definitely doesn't help make them any money.

What's up my friend? This is true, I don't think Disney will ever change. Maybe other studios will see these failures and give us some fun and enjoyable movies again. Disney made it's bed and now has to lay in it. Be well and keep on supporting physical media 👊🤘📼💿📀

Fortunately, there are many others out there making great and fun movies for you to see! You can go out and have a great time in a theater without giving a penny to the Rodent House! I have been doing just that for four years and it’s glorious!

I get where you're coming form. I'd rather have the original than a bad reboot any day of the week. It's nice when we get good stuff though like Cobra Kai and Picard Season 3. If you couldn't guess by my avatar, I would love to see the 1980s TV series V brought back. It would be a double edge sword as if it's bad or just "Meh" like the 2011 reboot, I'll just stick with the Original.

Thank you, finally think someone got what I was saying. Still need to watch Picard Season 3 heard lots of good things. A new V could be interesting if done right, especially with what's going on in the world and Las Vegas aliens. I'm with you, the originals are just fine. Remakes and reboots will always be there but do something with them that are entertaining.

I'm tired of reboots and sequels Greg it's getting boring I know there are original ideas out there but they just don't seem to be getting that much attention unlike all these big names movies but yeah I will still buy physical media just to see what a movie game or a bands music is like if I'm a fan of them. we need more stand alone films. Greg you deserve more views man seriously you have one of the best Physical media channels I've seen here on youtube seriously 🆒🆒👍👍💿💿📀📀

The only messages I’m sending are anti-Rident House and anti-bad movie ones. I have no objection to reboots/legacy sequels at all. Ghostbusters: Afterlife, Rambo, Rocky Balboa, Creed, Top Gun: Maverick, Cobra Kai, Mad Max: Fury Road, Ash vs. Evil Dead... It’s not the reboot/legacy sequel I/we object to. They aren’t the inherent problem to themselves. The problem lies in modern Hollywoodland filmmaking. It’s the political ideologies. It’s the agendas. It’s the poor writing. It’s the lazy creativity. It’s the diversity hires. It’s the delusional mentality that they know better that those that came before. It’s the result of all this BS mixture that’s producing the garbage being churned out today. Nothing more. In a week or so, the seventh Mission: Impossible film, spanning 27 years and counting , will be dominating the summer movie season and wiping the floor with the rest. Why? It’s a “legacy sequel” made with craft and care by a team who care about quality entertainment. That’s when you’ll feel and see the difference, and I’ll be happy to open my wallet and invest my time. BTW: Avoid Chris Gore’s early review of the film. He claims it’s spoiler free and then unnecessary reveals the films antagonist, which even the trailer didn’t do. Knowing that going in isn’t something I wanted. What I would ask of you, Greg, is are you supporting the films that aren’t what you’re denouncing? Sisu, Mad Heidi, Polite Society... those are a couple recent films I can think of that don’t fall within that typical Hollywoodland machine. Are you seeing those? Are you supporting the fresh ideas? The standalone films? The fun entertainment? Are you sending the right message or are you sending a blanket message by just not going to see anything at all? I hope not because that definitely won’t contribute to a positive result. Are you supporting the good? The bad? Or nothing at all?

I'll tell you this, and I think those who have watched this video are missing the point of the video. Yes remakes, reboots and legacy sequels aren't going anywhere and they aren't the main problem. Ideology and what not are and are ruining entertainment. Personally I'm tired of the remakes and 8th or 20th sequel of a franchise, even if they are still going strong. I haven't watched past MI 3, don't know if I ever will. This was merely an observation of what Disney has done with there remakes and legacy sequels, and it's time for more original entertainment to comeback. It's ok to let things end. Yes I do support new original entertainment especially independent stuff. I plan on watching Sisu, I watched the trailer for Mad Heidi not sure that's for me. Sadly my only theater is like an hour away and I don't get to go a lot, but not like there's anything new I want to watch anyways. Not paying for stuff I don't like. Loved Top Gun Maverick, Ghostbusters Afterlife, and Cobra Kai, but a few good ones do not make me wish there were more. I practice what I preach, and think it shows.

To be honest, I don't think they care. There's still an audience (unfortunately) that eats that crap up. Personally, I refuse to support theaters if they keep infesting their screens with vomit inducing nonsense.

You're right they don't care at all. I too will not watch these movies or support them. Disney is lost, my hope is that other studios may take more chances on new original stories. Although this too is doubtful.

HI Greg Perhaps the likes of Disney could learn some lessons from small studios such Cinetel and Asylum films that produce low cost productions that mostly make a profit because they know and understand their audience and avoid preaching moral viewpoints Regards Trevor

@@jameswoollard84There’s an irony here. I discovered a few weeks ago that Paramount still owns those. They release the steelbooks then the slipcovers, all in advance of the new fan film, and it wouldn’t surprise me if those combined 4K sales turn out to be more profitable for them than the new fan film is for the Rodent House! 😂
