Batman Arkham Could Return as Monolith's Wonder Woman Struggles - IGN Daily Fix

In today's Daily Fix:
WB Games has had a rough year. They had a dud with Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League, which burned a $200 million hole in the company's wallet. Recently, MultiVersus was announced to be shutting down, and Harry Potter: Quidditch Champions did not live up to the franchise hype. On the DC front, Monolith's troubled Wonder Woman game is apparently stuck in development hell, but Rocksteady may be working on a new single-player Batman Arkham game. The company is also doubling down on Harry Potter, with more content for Hogwarts Legacy and a sequel on the way. In other news, Henry Cavill's 2005 audition for James Bond as leaked online, and gives 007 fans a glimpse of what could have been.

It's simple. Suicide Kill The Justice League is not within the Arkham continuity and is inside Elseworlds since they literally introduced the multiverse which gives Rocksteady the perfect excuse to retcon it as "another world" story. Just go back to Arkham with the writing/production team from before or give us an amazing Justice League game.

Okay honestly I'm going to keep it 100: I actually had fun playing Arkham knights. Me and my buddy had a lot of fun running these Gotham streets beating up dudes. And the equipment looks kind of sick. The only real gripe I had with the game was that You can't play co-op with four players. (Like... Isn't that kind of the point of a bat family game?) And in my opinion that was the determining factor for why the game flopped.

Do what Horizon did. Make a ps5 version of Arkham Knight with 4k 60fps, maybe a RT mode. Include all the dlc and bring all the challenge maps over from Asylum and City. Knight still looks better then most modern games including the latest two batman games ironically so graphics don't need to be completely redone. But most importantly for the love of God DON'T be fucking greedy. You can charge full price but make it a discount upgrade for those who already own the game. Same price as Horizon Remastered. Don't do a Devil May Cry 5 Special Edition.

No way that's a full price. It's often 3 dollars on pc and easily runs at 4k. More like a patch would do. Arkham knight won't look better with ray tracing as the baked lighting is already top notch and even ray tracing mods look the same. It only hampers performance. It also has a ton of content in terms of challenges and ridder trophies. ( takes 60 hours to do everything) . No way they should charge for making it 60hz on new consoles.

@@DanDaMaN95cov patch for all users with better hardware is the way to go. I don't know who put the wrong idea of " you should pay again to unlock better settings on the same game ". Even in mobile games when you get a new phone , the game instantly performs better due to the extra hardware ( which you paid for ). Previous generations mostly had 2 separate versions for last gen and current gen. So they were full priced. I'm a hardcore Arkham knight player and I'll defend the game no matter what. I want all others to play Arkham knight in glorious 4k 60hz. Arkham knight Gotham looks better than newyork in spiderman 2 with ray tracing. ( yeah I played that recently - Arkham knight is still better )

I have a theory about Monolith's Wonder Woman video game. James Gunn has said that his new DCU would consist of movies, TV shows, AND video games, and Warner Bros. Games is reportedly developing several at the moment, the earliest set to release around 2027. Since there currently isn't a set Wonder Woman project (other than the Paradise Lost prequel series about the Amazons), I wonder if DC and WB had Monolith retool their Wonder Woman game so it could fit in James Gunn's new universe. It's just my own personal theory, but it makes sense to me.

So which point of the story after Akham Knight would it be? Everyone knew Bruce is Batman know, and Knightfall happened. Would be better to pick up with NightWing/Red Hood combo instead of Batman, and wipe SS:KTJL off our memories. Barbara can be the next Commissioner as reference to Batman Beyond. Heck just make a Terry McGinnis game already.

Batman Arkham Knight Is The Perfect End. It should be After Arkham Shadow or Assault On Arkham. The SSKTJL is non-canon to everyone with other spin offs atleast those spin offs can consider alternate in same universe but SSKTJL is just Fan fiction that aren't even fans or know anything of it. The only canon in Batman .Arkham Universe are Asylum, City,Origins, Shadow, Knight And Assault On Arkham and the rest just fun gameplay in Same universe not including SSKTJL obviously.

They aren’t continuing Hogwarts Legacy at all they even stated “it will be based off the upcoming HBO series” it in fact will not be based off Hogwarts Legacy at all and that the story will completely change. So how is that doubling down if your basically completely scrapping and redesigning the entire game including the main story line and what they don’t understand is that a ton of people aren’t going to buy it especially if they completely dislike the show then the game will do horribly in sales and that everyone already likes everything about Hogwarts Legacy (other than no quidditch) so why risk and completely ruin it at all? Keep in mind they still don’t even have the story written out for the HBO series as well and yet they are risking the entire game franchise all on that show. I swear whoever came up with this plan should be fired before they ruin everything.

@ Ok but from a rational point of view, it's more logical to make a Batman game compared to any other character since Batman is just a mere mortal compared to the other Gods. He can always be defeated or even have near death scenarios in the Arkham games. How would you even begin to design a Superman or WW game. They're basically invincible. Their health bar is non-existent unless you introduce kryptonite for the entire game which doesn't make any sense. A flash game is EVEN more harder to make given his extreme powerset. Aquaman and GL are hard as well. Batman makes more sense to design a game with since he's just a human at the end of the day with a shit ton of money and resources. Not to mention POPULARITY and an already established game franchise
