I’ve been waiting for a video when Batman was mentioned here’s why. A few years ago I was looking for names in Latin. After about thirty minutes I got bored trying to find a name (for a game). To keep myself interested I started looking at superhero names such as Wonder Woman, Mirum Mulier in Latin. Superman, Vir Magnus. And a whole slew of others that I don’t remember. Batman is the one that stuck in my head the most for when Batman is translated to Latin he is “SPECULATOR” (that’s how it translates, all caps) making “i am BATMAN” into... “EGO SPECULATOR”. 🧐 🤨

It has been said in multiple comics/shows that he invests hundreds of millions to billions of dollars into various charities and social programs. #2: While there is quite a bit of normal gang type crime in Gotham, do you think it even holds a candle to the level of death/destruction Joker, Penguin, Bane, Mr. Freeze, Etc. cause? And would social programs have helped stop THEM? Since Batman has shown to be the only person in the area capable of stopping them, then without him there, Gotham would already be a ghost town (and given some of the DC villains, possibly literally.)

Each Robin made the conscious decision of joining Batman's war. It's not like Batman held auditions for kid sidekicks or anything, every Robin came into Batman's world because of a particular case. After Dick Grayson's parents were killed, Batman felt bad for the kid and decided to adopt him/make him his ward in order to spare him the same difficulties Bruce himself grew up with as a kid due to his own parents' murder. However. Dick's pain over his loss was too much, and he ended up repeatedly sneaking out of Wayne Manor in an attempt to catch his parents murderer. In the end, Dick's trauma was too much and was heading towards a destructive lifestyle anyway. Instead, as far as Batman was concerned, if Dick was going to face the dangers of the world, he might as well face them with training. But that wasn't enough for Dick. He saw Batman as some sort of inspiration and he insisted on being Batman's sidekick. In most iterations, Batman was against the idea of Dick becoming a crime fighter, but he had no choice in the matter for Dick's sake, and thus we have Robin. In a what-if story where Bruce never became Batman, Dick ended up killing Tony Zucco and was on his way to being executed. So, Batman gave Dick's life purpose and the proper training to survive in the world of Gotham. A case could be made that because of Batman's guidance, that's Nightwing ended up as one of the most well adjusted heroes in DC.

The first Batman stand alone show that many people remember was Adam West Batman so you think it is easy to reinventing something like that. Movies like Captain America and Ironman are Ok thanks to Avengers but Batman movies didn't need cross over from Superman or other Justice League member. You think if in the future if the make any stand alone Ironman or captain America movies that didn't have any MCU relation it would success I think not.

Batman is indeed a superhero because of the levels of important things he does and saves, and he is the best because he is the most relatable hero ever because of how realistic he is. You know a superhero is great when their fans actually believe that they can idolize them and actually do things to be like them in real life, like fighting for justice and doing the right thing, like the goat Batman.

I would disagree on most relatable. If you really break it down he's a trust fund baby with psychosis. Half the reason he can do anything is because he's freaking rich and can afford to just buy. As to the stuff he does have going for him of his own accord he is a master of 127 martial arts, this alongside multiple college degrees. All of which he accomplished in around 10 years which is just nonsensical. Don't get me wrong I like Batman as a hero and it's fiction so I can handwave a bit with that kind of thing but when a lot of his build up comes from a level of money most people will never even get close to, an insane level of capability he obtained in an impossible amount of time then the relateability drops a good bit. Even his emotional loss which is one of the most relateable aspects about him takes things to the extreme by veering into what would very likely be considered clinical psychosis. Something Batman himself acknowledges. Which no this isn't necessarily unrealistic but it's also not exactly the way most people would deal with loss as it's more of an extreme case (again nothing necessarily wrong with this, it's fiction so it get's leeway but as far as relating most people aren't in the same boat) Personally I would argue the most relateable superhero would be someone like Spider-man. While his powers are equally unrealistic the general life issues he goes through are generally far closer to that of the average person. Money troubles, balancing work/life responsibilities, relationship issues. These are all more relatable that a lot of what Batman has going on and even with the ones of those Batman does deal with as well Spider-man still leans towards a more every-man style of them than Batman does.
