Just before this started the host showed a video of Tom in a modelling contest probably in one of the biggest lows of his life, likely the start or peak of his addiction. He was spectacular in Warrior as well. Really up and coming and very convincing in every role I've seen him in. Of course it is tough to top Heath's performance as Joker even though this was an admirable follow up to the last movie. He surely has the right stuff to be a mainstream action star who can actually pull off the acting part too. Hope to see more from him soon. Nice job Tom!

The Joker and Bane were both such epic villains in the 'Dark Knight' movies, that I actually felt a little frustrated while watching the movies knowing that they would lose in the end. In both movies I found myself rooting for the villains just because of how badass their portrayal was.

The Joker hadn't a direct goal, so it really wasn't a point for him to win or lose. He was an evil genius, but a madman. Bane was born and toughened by darkness and evil and mentored by Ra's al ghul in The League or Shadows, so he was carrying out a huge motive and had a strong foundation to be built upon it. physically and mentally.

He was really lean in The Warrior, so all he did was eat a lot of junk food, a lot of protein, and his same workout in The Warrior, but focused on heavy lifting instead of cardio. you need to learn how to read, they dont use special effects on people. Of course they use special effects but only for explosions and stuff like that. Fun fact. Bale is actually a solid 3" taller than Hardy. They use camera tricks to make Bane look around 6'3 in the movie. In one part what he kills a man, he towers above him staring down at him as he talks... in actual fact Hardy stood on a box for that scene, and for many others.
