Without question the most hallowed building in the National Hockey League. What a pleasure to hear announcer Paul Morris, in my opinion, the best P.A. announcer and the purest set of pipes the NHL has ever had. Frost could learn a thing or two.

Paul Morris is a Maple Leaf legend in his own right. A pioneer of NHL PA announcers.

I walked by Maple Leaf Gardens tonight on the way to the Phoenix Concert Theatre. It's sad to see it so delapidated now, but I'm not even a Leafs fan and I had a moment of hockey nostalgia.

Just an idea or thought here, but instead of making/creating the ACC as their new building, why didn't they just re-create a New maple leafs garden. Just look at the Yankees. They still have that tradition but with an upgrade. IMO the ACC is boring and Dull as it can be. If they brought out a New Maple Leafs Garden with that old classic feel to it, but at the same time futuristic style to it ( such as scoreboard, lights etc ), then I'd be thrilled to go to a game/watch.

30+ years ago my late parents played a round of golf with Mush March. I have a nice autographed photo of him still hanging on my office wall that they got from him. Mush told my parents that in his 17 year NHL career he earned a cumulative $85,000, in 1930's dollars of course. My mom marveled about how little a guy Mush was in person.

Well they gutted everything out before the st. john leafs became the marlies and the Rico arena was ready at that point. Plus the gardens sold everything to Loblaws by then. Ya, they are spineless, they don't want to win the cup. That explains everything.

if they werent so spineless, they'd move the marlies there. atleast keepsomthng to do with the leafs in that building
